1.
The difference between the Raiders and Indians in district play is simply this... The raiders have been beat 2 teams that will not make the playoffs. The indians have been beaten by 2 teams that will make the playoffs. PNG will take this one and should win out for the rest of the season.
I hope we can win tonight then win out , but I still feel that a lot of the teams in this district are evenly matched. Vidor played Nederland to the wire just as we did. Ozen looks very good , as does LCM. Lumberton has the team that could be dangerous and play spoiler for somebody. It will be interesting every week.
2. Hope so , I believe we look better now than we did at this point last year. But , I believe the entire district is better this year. It will not be an easy task.
3.
I really think its funny how on this thread the livingston "folks" have made their predictions and gave an explanation for their prediction just as the nederland ppl have but somehow nederland took it as a total slap in the face lol why are yall downgrading your team for no reason lol?
I have noticed a lot of fans on here ( not just Ned) do this. It's ok to have have an opinion , just make sure it is the same as theirs.
4. Hope the word gets out. I'm leaving my purple in the closet tonight and will wear Red , White, and Blue.
5. I just saw a request on Facebook and thought it was a good idea . In honor of fallen soldier David Drake (2008 Lumberton graduate) , we should leave the purple and white at home tonight and wear RED , WHITE, and BlUE. This heroes life ended in Afghanistan and was flown home this morning. Prayers to the Drake family and may God bless all his family , friends , and the Lumberton community.
6.

I was told he will make a full recovery and doesn't need a pacemaker or anything like that. Of course this is from facebook. Looks like coach will be ok.
I got a similar report by phone today,  looks like Coach is doing well and is on the long road to recovery.
This is all great news!
7. I have always liked him. There were a few on here from Nederland that wanted him fired last year and the year before. Wouldn't want their job(High School Coach) . When your winning your a hero, when your struggling lot of people want you fired. Believe me i'm listening to it from a few idiots here in PN. The same few who were complaining this point last year are crying again. Short memories , and never happy. Good luck Friday.
8. Hey neighbors , there a few on here that will keep this going as long as ya'll keep arguing.  May this thread rest in peace also.
9. I know him well he is a good man , and I have not heard about this. Thanks for making us aware. Keep us posted. Prayers for Dan.
10. They have a very good team , and should bounce back.
11. All the talk is about Neds defense against Livingston's offense. But if both are healthy i'm taking Livingston by less than a touchdown. I believe Livingston's defense is better than Neds offense. But if there is an injury with Livingston's qb I will take Nederland. Not sure if he is hurt , they also started the same rumor the week we played them. Should be a good game.

13.
I had to be at work at 4:30 am. I was there until the end. I also had to be at work at 4:30 AM when we played GCM. I started this thread simply asking a question but it seems that nobody wants to answer. I dont particularly care when people leave games. Thats up to each individual. Yes I would love for everyone to stay until the end. But I am going to say it again so everyone that wants to make excuses can get it in their heads. This isnt meant to attack people who leave games early. This is because everytime I hear about PNG, all i hear about is how great their fans are and the loyalty they have. I have heard from many PNG fans who have always told me that PNG fans never leave games early. I guess thats not really the case then right? If so, no big deal, I was just wondering if this was typical or not. I, along with everyone in my section, was shocked when over half of the stands emptied early. So dont get your underpants twisted, I was just curious if this has been going on for a while... Cliffs Notes: Dont care when an individual leaves games. I was simply inquiring if what I have heard all these years was really true about PNG fans staying until the end. No need for people to get offensive. And to whoever said to move on to our next opponent. I will leave that to the coaches and players but I still have 364 more days to enjoy this one  8)
Dude , you post more on PNG threads than any of the PNG fans. You are obsessed, but whatever gets you off. I will answer your question with my opinion . I won't say we have the "BEST FANS". I will though say we have a very good following , not comparing to anyone elses. Just stating we bring a good crowd . As far staying til the end, I see weekly and always have seen plenty leave as early as right after halftime. There was a time when I left right after halftime  ,when I had small children. I don't think this makes them a less "loyal" fan as you referred. They were at least there for most and left for whatever their personal reason was. Most of the time has nothing to do with who they are playing or what the score is. Hopefully this helps and you will be able to sleep tonight. And also I would like to thank Nederland for a great football game. Even despite losing I will still have to say it was one of the more enjoyable evenly matched and entertaining games in a while. Congrats, you have bragging rights for a year.
14. This will be a good one. If you went by what you saw with both playing us , you would have to say Livingston. I don't think you can go by that though. When we played Livingston we had the lead with seven minutes left but it was one of those leads you felt lucky to have . As we hung with them until then you could tell eventually they could pull away. As we traded leads with Nederland I never felt that way. Until the end I felt it was anybodys game . Nederland started moving the ball on the ground in the second half but we also had more success on the ground in the second half also. With that being said I believe Nederlands defense will match up with Livingston better than we did.Livingston will have to throw some to beat Nederland. We did pretty well in the air against Nederland. Their pass defense is their ability to put pressure on the quarterback. And their front will do that , I don't think their secondary is that great. One thing many aren't giving much credit to Livingston for is their defense. Livingston's defense is way better than the credit they are getting. This will be a great game , I wouldn't put money on it either way.
15. Everybody has band parents , and shift workers that have to get up early on saturdays. I see some of the same folks leaving early week in and week out. No big deal.
16.
It works, period. It is not perfect and a good management plan would be better but most of these leases could have gotten a management plan years ago but would rather go by the east Texas, if it's brown, it's down rule. Soon people in east Texas will start taking some nice (not necessarily trophy) deer with some trophies scattered in with them. It beats taking spikes and basket 4 or 6 pointers.
I agree , I don't hunt East Texas but some attempt had to be made to improve it and it will. I hunt in Maverick County and in Sutton County and the mentality is different in both places. But I have been seeing a change in the ideas in East Texas which is encouraging.
17. We are 0-2 against two good teams and played both of them very close. Closer than both expected and may still admit. We are getting better each week , but I think the teams in the district are closer than most years.
18. You guys appear to be the real deal. It is nice to see the success. Congrats.
19. I can see them winning maybe one by 40 , maybe. Yes , there defense is surprising and not getting the credit they deserve.
20.
I agree. Faircloth didn't lose this game. PNG did lose this game. Nederland stepped up and made the plays they needed to make to win. Both teams battled hard but the dogs won the battle in the trenches all night. Whoever the linebacker for PNG is that kicked the Nederland player on the ground should be kicked off the team.  There's no place for stuff like that in football. Whoever it is, you should lay down and let me kick you as hard as I can with cleats on and see how you like it.
The fourth down call , defenitely the right call. PNG didn't lose this game, Nederland won . We had the chance to win and Neds defense stepped up and stopped us with their back against the wall .Nederland won this game , credit to their defensive front. They are very tough up front , very impressive. If ya'll can tweek a few things on offense I think you can win district.
21.
The Lions will do to 20-4A what Dayton did to them.  Look for the Lions to win by an average of 30 points when all said and done.  The stars are aligning for a Bronco vs Lion bidistrict match up.  Dayton has edged out the Lions the last two times that has happened.  The Lions want revenge!
Livingston is a really good team. They beat us by 14 , Central by 35. Livingston and Nederland is going to be a really good game , surely don't see any team winning by 30. Vidor , LCM.....hmmm I can't see them averaging winning by 30 points. But at this point I see Livingston making plenty noise in the playoffs.
22.
Another .500 season for PNG? Faircloth for President! Boy he is sure turning things around over there. One undefeated season and he was the King. It's amazing how a coach looks when he has unbelievable talent. I've been hearing alot of the purple faithful doubting him as of late. All I can say is  Faircloth= Finesse and Soft! Way to go Dog's!
His first year he went undefeated and according to this board, with no talent. When we were complaining the year before to get rid of Burnett , the people of this board were saying that Burnett wasn't the problem . They were saying we didn't have any talent. Then last year (Faircloth's second year) we started actually worse than this year and went three rounds deep in the playoffs , deeper than ANYBODY in this district. So i'm not sure why your talking about .500. Those were the days of Burnett, so at least educate yourself a little before you bump your gums. Remember there were a few (not many) that wanted to keep Burnett and thet are taking every chance they get to knock Faircloth. I assure that most of us here would not trade Faircloth for anyone. There are a lot of people who would like to play for him and we have gotten some transfers coming into the underclass. Maybe our talent pool will improve lol  ::). We are doing the same thing we did last year as far as improving each week and finished better than any in 20-4A. That's what a good coach does. I felt going into last night that our defense was very suspect and I left last night thinking that we are either improving on D or Nederlands offense wasn't as good as I expected. Probably a little of both.  We had a chance to win last night and the drive died about a half yard short inside your 20. I give Nederlands defensive front credit for that. They were the difference.
23. BH is for real , congrats. I know it's early but it looks like you may make some noise in the playoffs. Good luck , unless we happen to meet you. ;)
