I agree jake , Nederland has a big advantage in the coaching. PNG's Defense has been awesome , but I'm not sure how it will handle a GOOD spread offense. And Nederland looks like they have been running it for years.It will be a tough test for the Indian defense.

We entered the season with expectations of who the frontrunners would be , but with the Lumberton defeat of Dayton a lot of things COULD be in the air.The Nederland-Central game will tell alot.But I feel NO GAME is a lock this year.Any team can beat ANY team on any given night.I know this is always true, but it seems to be moreso this year.The teams are much more closely matched.My question is, why is this? Is this district as a whole not as good as we think or is it better?

Can't say right now.I'm in the air on this one.Although, I do believe Lumberton is for real.As far as respect ,as unfair as it is you don't don't get it from one season.I feel even if they go to the playoffs this year they will still not get the respect they deserve.Ask the Nederland folks about back in the mid 90's when things started coming together for them.They didn't get the credit or recognition they deserved until late 90's to early 00's.Like I said they have a good team,the recognition will come in due time.

It starts with good coaching.School board and administration support along with community support next.Once you can start winning, it will snowball.Winning breeds winning.Two good examples are WOS and Nederland.The younger kids can't wait to grow up and be part of the winning.This encourages them to develop a strong work ethic.

I don't believe going 4-0 is a fluke. Also, remember this is without what I believe is their best QB in LONG time. This week will show who the team to beat in the district is.

Nederland will win district(would that be the first outright in quite a while) The rest is way to scary to even try and pick.Although I feel LCM might be in.

Nederland in a one sided encounter.

Fairly strong. Nederland has averaged a deeper run than most for the last 10 years or so.No , not every year. I didn't think they were that good last year, but I think they can go a couple rounds at least this year.If they could get Zampere back I would really have liked their chances.I'm not convinced or sold on any of the other 224A teams yet.

Still not sure what to think , but if I was a gambler I would stay away from this one.As hard as I have been on Matt Burnett I still say PNG will have an advantage as far as coaching.Should be close but I go with PNG by 7.

All teams have our obnoxious type that embarass the rest. A little success brings out all of them.We have ours at PNG , you have your share at Ned , and so does everybody else. Its all in fun , just be prepared to eat crow if you can't back it........................It ain't bragging if you can back it up!..........And only time will tell. IMO the Raiders look pretty tough. I don't see any one team looking head and shoulders above any other in our district thus far.
