I actually agree with the 20-4a picks, although #6 and #7 might be interchangeable.
I think #4 and #5 may also be interchangeable...
I hope, but probably not. Unless the youngsters come around late in the season. I think they are still a season away. Gonna be young.
 2.
Guys give it time. One more year until the NDNS of old will be in full force. Bank on it ;)
I will agree with this.
 3. Nederland will not have any rivalry like PNG. It is what it is. And for some that may have not been around five years ago, we heard plenty about a group of 7th graders that are getting ready to graduate from Nederland now. Heard about them from then until this year. I called their success from back then as well. Sometimes a special group of kids come through. They were very talented just as PNG's freshman this year. They pretty much went through the district without much of a challenge, they will be tough, count on it.

36-14 PN-G Freshman Purple, 6:35 4th
That Freshman team at PNG is really good.
I got to see them play a good LC-M team and they couldn't have impressed me more.
Thats my oldest boys age group. I've watched that group for a long time and they have the athletes in that group to compete with anyone around here. Should be a good group for ya'll in the future.
Thanks for the nice words. We are looking forward to this group, they ran through the district real well.
 5. Was referring more to what I believe will be stacked talent wise in a couple years. It didn't sound good the way I said it, looking at it. Not meaning anything against this years team, just really looking forward to what is coming. Morse is the real deal, believe me. These are kids I am familiar with and have watched against others in youth and middle school. Unlike some I am not concerned with this years defense, but do feel we will have to find some type of running game. Also a little concerned with QB but we have the best quarterback coach around and should end up ok there. I do trust Faircloth on that front.
 6.

Morse is a great athlete and an even better kid. The future looks bright.
Looking for big things in the next three years from this young man!
No doubt! If we can get through a couple challenging years for the next two, things will get real good.
 7.
its gonna be close through 3 qtrs, but png pulls it out in the 4th for a 28-17 win
I agree with this. We have a lot more depth and Faircloth doesn't play people both ways.
 8. I can't see anyone beating Nederland this year. This is their year. This is the group they have been waiting for. As I said about PNG in 1999, this is there really good chance to go very deep. The talent is there.
 9. 1.Nederland 2.Ozen 3. and 4. will be between Central,Vidor, Livingston,PNG.
 10. 1. Nederland 2. Ozen 3. Vidor 4. PNG or Livingston
 11.
Try never.  Vidor didn't start consistently  making the playoffs in baseball until it was expanded to four teams.
And that was actually the same time they got arguably the best coach in the district.
 12. Congrats Ozen. The scary part is how young they are. Ozen , Nederland, and Vidor have a lot coming back next year. These three will be back in playoffs next year.
 13. Hope we can complete the sweep. I have a lot of respect for Dayton. We will have to bring our A game. Look forward to the support from all of 20-4A.
 14. Where is the BH mouths? I'm sure they will continue talking on their thread , but there is no way they will click their mouse on this one.lol
 15.
GOOD LUCK TO ALL AREA TEAMS!!!  THANK YOU FOR SUPPORTING OUR PIRATES.  THIS WIN IS FOR MATT!!!
Nice job representing . Keep up the good work next week. Hopefully we can represent as well.
 16. MUDHOLE!!!.....Congrats Vidor....bad news is we will have to look at 20 pages of excuses from Barbers Hill crybabies on how Crosby got beat by an inferior team.
 17. Comparing by who beat who early is crazy. Look at last year and year before that, PNG crushed Crosby and Crosby looked a lot better in playoffs. After beating Crosby by thirty plus last year Crosby came and beat a Nederland team that beat PNG. Crosby seems to play better as season goes and the Crosby I saw early was much better than last years. I also assure you PNG team that beat Vidor is much better than the one that lost to Crosby. Should be a war.
 18.
I'm sure that we all could argue bad call from mid county to orange county. I do have a family member who moved to Mid county years ago, and they tell me year in and year out, at their place they do get the majority of important calls.  They also say it does happen against the orange county schools. Its not that their are more flags towards one school or another, it just seems when the flags are thrown, it is a time in the game that it is hard to recover from.  Make up calls with one minute just make it look like both teams were called for fouls equally.  Remember this topic was started by an administrator of this site.
Not always true. The worst officiating I ever saw was two years ago LCM at PNG. I'm not gonna say no names but somebody well known from Orange County and this site made some terrible calls in LCM 's favor even made one and showed some excitement in the call.Pathetic , still didn't change the outcome of the game. Bad calls go both ways.
 19. Should be a good one. Dayton has had our number in past , but we haven't played them since coaching changes. I hope we can get some redemption. I still have Dakari Pearson nightmares lol.
 20. It's a shame injuries got to Livingston , they truly had an awesome team early that I felt had a chance to go far. Injuries are part of the game though. Congrats to Vidor, I believe they will represent well also.
 21.
Congrats to the Indians for the win in a very intense game....you guys deserve your playoff spot. The Pirates came out flat which is what I was afraid of after the highly emotional week they had just been through. I'm proud that they didn't give up but fought back and put themselves back in the game in the fourth quarter. Pirates hold your heads high you have the pride and support if this town behind you. Indians you guys played strong last night and gave an outstanding effort, you were in a do or die situation and you came out and did what you had to do....props to the boys in purple.
Wrong.....it was not a do or die situation. Even if we had lost we would have been in good shape. After a lopsided win over Ozen we were in good shape in a tie breaker.
 22.
Grow up...  :-\
Just part of it when you talk as much as mytwocents did all week.
 23.

Congrats Indians.....Everytime it seemed like we would get something going in the 1st half we would fumble are get a penalty and you cant do that against good teams....They will make you pay and PNG did.
Love the heart and determination the pirates showed by not giving up and coming from 22 points behind to make us hold on and work for the win. Props to Vidor.
x 2
 24. Coach Neumann deserves it. He built a great program and the outright championship has eluded him for so long. Congrats!
