parker is strictly o-line.
 3. We are losing a good amount across the board. Who do you think starts at these now open positions? How good will they be? Any player in particular who will make an impact like these graduating senors did?
#90 Washinton wore #70 during dayton scrimmage.
Was it you who said Nederland would lose BIG to Connaly?
No sir. My line has been that Nederland is suspect due to close win over Vidor and less than impressive win over a very weak Dayton team.  You gain no power ranking points by beating Pflugerville or Dayton.
Thats because you approach everything with an apples vs apples perspective when you can't do that in football.  Football is about match-ups, game plans, and style.    Nederland beat dayton 21-7, and Summer creek beat Dayton 45-7.  You conclusion is that Ned isn't as good as SC because of that score, however you discount how the two teams match up, what the key's of victory were for Ned, and the style of play (were they air it out, or ball control?).    This is why you didn't see GT coming, and its why you have a distorted view of how good YOUR team was.
Hope I'm not interrupting, but yeah I would agree that it is about match ups as opposed to aggregate scoring. However, my argument in favor of SC as a better team than Nederland would be based on SC having a quality passing game that Nederland's D hasn't seen much this season, as well as Nederland running the type of offense that SC's D has a better grasp of defending. Georgetown overpowered SC with their passing game because SC doesn't defend the pass well in addition to Georgetown's D being able to handle a strong passing attack. It is going to be interesting to see what kind of game Dawson and Nederland bring next week. Unless one completely dominates the other at all phases of the game, I dont see the winner of this game making it passed the winner of Angleton/GTown.
Nederland can take Angleton for sure. GTown would be a good game.
Didn't Angleton beat Nederland 39-33 early in the season? I didn't see the game so I'm not sure what exactly went down, but it should be no less of a challenge for nederland a second time around should it?
We had 5 turnovers in that game and came within a 2 point conversion of winning. we had 2 pick sixes 2 more picks and fumble lost. Nederland was the better team, just had a bad game.
 6.
Montana is the BEST football player in the area, bar none. I have a really hard time if he doesn't garner @ least 1. Should be Super Gold player of the Year as well. Ask yourself one question: if you're picking a football team and you can have any player in the area, who do you choose. I know I'm a homer supreme but really? He got hosed last year but name the player who is honestly better. He has schooled every team's best performer he has played against...with humility @ that. BTW, I have pix of those lessons if you want them.
He didn't do so hot against nederland. If I remember correctly he was rather well contained.
dang they have that many? sheesh.  :o
and 17 interceptions for the year.
What is your thinking behind that?
I've seen both and that's my opinion.  Don't take it personal.  I think SC's secondary is better than Ned's more so than Ned's D-line being better than SC's.  I give the edge to SC.
Wasn't taking it personal at all. Just wanted to hear what made you think that.

 10. I'm reading about SC's D-line and some are saying its pretty salty. Who in your opinion is better Nederland's D-Line or SC's? I love the D-Line position but i cannot give my view because i have only seen NED's and not SC's. So let's hear it.
 11. I have heard that the back up offense did good but how did the second string defense do? Specifically players who will be filling roles next year?
 12.
Obviously after seeing both teams numerous times this year, Summer Creek in a rout.  This one can get ugly for Dayton unless they get a few turnovers.  BH lost to SC by 13, I say Dayton losed by 21 or more. Why? 1. Dayton's defensive line is not very good at all.  BH blew them up all night and SC has a good O-Line. 2. Dayton O-Line may be worse than their D-Line.  They can not contain the corners and SC's linebacker and D-End will have a field day.  3. Dayton's secondary is questionable at best, almost as bad as Nederland.  SC will have a field day if they want. 4.  Dayton's offense is weak, no running game, no passing game.  Good luck with that in the playoffs.  Other than that, should be a fun game....... ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
Nederland's secondary is bad? 15 interceptions, 6 pick sixes, and they have allowed the least amount of passing yards in 20-4A. I wouldn't call them bad at all.

And let Lumberton come away with it's first win of the season.
Nederland can count on a victory!!!! We  WILL run plays that don't make sense, you WILL see players on the sideline that need to be on the field.... All of the fans that are there every single week have seen it over and over and over and over!!!  I expect the same for the last 2 games of this season.  I can't even express how disappointed i am for a group of boys who won a bunch of football games until they were on Varsity (undefeated in middle school and a very good Freshman year)... I am gonna bite my tongue and not say everything that I have wanted to say for a long time...Go out there and fight as hard as you can boys!
Reason they were so good in 8th grade is that manley was a man among boys back then and that Lumberton has 1 middle school. Most cities have two. they werent undefeated freshman year because  the kids caught up with manley and the talent wasnt spread out.
