You likely know it's 2.3% for each year. Just doing this for those not in TRS and wondering how it works. Older retirees (think 2005 and before) utilize 3 highest years. Ex. 30 years with a $120,000 5 year average. 30 X .023 = .805. .805 X 120000 = 96600. There is a maximum salary per year allowed by TRS for calculation. 345,000 for this school year which of course only would involve a few superintendents.
