Birds sweep. 11-9 finale. Start conference 3-0 and now sit 19-4 on the season. 4 games against Big 12 next week. U of H for 1 game and a 3 game series at ranked OU.

I was present for today's games.

LU takes game 1 with an 8-1 score. LU brought a pretty decent fan base to Houston today. It appears they out number the HCU fans.

Yes, they have played the bottom 3 teams in the present conference standings thus far. At present LU is 2 wins shy of last year's season total and is 7-1 and sitting in first place. 20'10 overall is a good record. Can they continue to win as they move forward in conference playing better teams?

Let's play 2. LU and HCU had today's game postponed and will play a double header tomorrow starting at 11.

9-3 over PV tonight. Travel to play the fighting Berkman's this weekend. All games in the series are day games with 2:00, 1:00, and 2:00 start times. This is the first conference series. HCU pitching is quite suspect, but they do have quality offensive production.

Just looking over the weekends' box scores. How about these 2 stats?? LU pitchers strike out 28 batters and walked 1, yes just 1, in a 3 game series. 1 walk in 27 innings is tremendous at any level.

Quick game. Win 3-0 for the sweep. LU gives up 2 runs in 3 games. PV on Tuesday and open conference at HCU on Friday.

Cards take the first game today with a 5-1 final. Game 2 (3 of the series) will start at 4:20.

Birds score 3 in the 8th to win 3-1. HCU transfer, Roccaforte, hit 2 run homer to add Lamar's final 2 runs. Double header at 1:00 today.

No kidding about really wanting to play. I'm thinking they try to play 2 tomorrow as Sunday doesn't look good. Also, I assume Pacific has a flight issue as Sunday was already scheduled for a noon rather than 1:00 start. We shall see.....

I'm a liar! Lol. Moved back to 8 with a possibility of starting earlier. How much earlier...no idea.

Birds best Retreivers 4-0. Go for the sweep at 1:00 tomorrow. Team, thus far, looking similar to last year with an average offense an above average pitching. Still early and we will see how things go. Tonight, Caple and Perez combine on a 4 hit shut out with 13 punch outs.

It would have been nice had that all worked out in that manner.

That is a great baseball conference. When Lamar left (if I read timeliness correctly) the conference did not have football for another few years. Very interesting to see some of the schools not only in it presently, but also former members. The list includes UCF.

LU wins 7-3 over UMBC.

New deal. McNeese has secured the basketball for longer through '29. Southeastern will now host baseball for '24. Think the bid process for baseball is presently on a year by year basis. Personally love the SELA stadium and the fans are quite supportive. Would love a return to Lamar or even HCU (if they could secure the Sugarland facility).

Cards beat SFA 11-4. Typical weekday game with 9 pitchers utilized and no more than 2 innings if work for any. Had an 11-1 lead late and emptied the bench. Host the University of Maryland Baltimore County this weekend. No, not a powerhouse program, but more baseball at home to see in person.

If they had played against the worst teams in D1 that would still be impressive and they of course have not.

Disagree. Tax payer in the community has a right to run for office on the school and have input on the local district regardless of that stance. If the local community disagrees, vote said individual off the local school board.
