A team that gets blown out week after week and year after year is usually a team that plays video games all summer in lieu of working towards getting better. They must like it, they seem to just keep doing it. If it bothers them they should work harder to change it. It's not the winning teams responsibility to stop the scoring, it's the opposing teams responsibility. It's hard to keep your team in shape when the starters only play 2 quarters.
 Most schools have about the same amount of kids and its the Coaches responsibility to develop them and that starts with the middle school teams. There is not that much difference with kids from one school to another except that the coaches have developed them. If they keep getting blow out they need to make changes in their system. They must like getting beat, so they just keep doing the same thing.
 There are a lot of team that just reload every year. They don't just go out and find more players, they have developed them.
 Get with the program or learn to like getting blown out. Some of the teams are so sorry that they keep getting blown out by the second and third teams.
  Some teams are blown out by the end of the first quarter.

I would not brag W0-S, I think you have only played HJ 8 times and only won 8 times. Good luck throughout the playoffs. Humm, seems like a few weeks ago, I heard a few WO-S people complaining about old fashion coaching.  I say you have the best coach in the state.

Kirbyville has talked the talk all year long, they have yet to walk the walk. They claimed to be far and above everyone in that district. Nobody would challenge the university of Kirbyville.
Now, the rest of the district is just trying to get a tie with E. Chambers. I predicted a three way tie earlier in the year when no one gave any respect to E. Chambers.
E. Chambers sits at the top of that district now. They need to change the name of that school to KING CHAMBERS. Win or lose they will still be at the top of the district at the end of the year.

You are right Deputy20, I know absolutely nothing about football. I just made a wild guess not knowing that Kountze was a powerhouse.

Two good teams played their hearts out last night. I think both teams gained the respect of the other team.
It's the first time I saw players kissing a dog.

Cedar Hill game was televised on ESPN 2 last night. Great game, CH finally got a little revenge on Desoto..

UIL needs to look into this game, Buna evidently had professional player suited up. No high school or college team could have beat those kats, they were to destroy everyone in that district. By the way, E Chambers is tied for first, Kats third.

Unfair to him and the team if he plays because they lose the game. A lot of kids would not graduate if it wasn't for sports making them keep their grades up in order to play. There was a D-1 player last year that got hurt and was not playing any more that year and wound up not passing high school his senior year and lost his scholarship to a D-1 school. He cannot play for any college without that diploma. Grades must come first.

Newton played a lot of new kids in different positions, that what a scrimmage is all about. Finding out what the new kids can do or not do. Newton will be all right. From what I saw of Kirbyville, they are not as good as last year. When you get to real game conditions Kirbyville will find out that they will have all they want with Kountze, E. Chambers, and Buna. Probably more than
they want.

Don't sell E. Chambers short. Newton and E. Chambers was a tough game every year. This year will be no different, E. Chambers has most of their tough games on the road. They get Buna at home but have to go to Kirbyville and Kountze. Kville gets Kountze and
E .Chambers at home. Buna gets Kville at home.
I don't think anyone goes through this district undefeated. It's going to be interesting because their are four very good teams
in this district.
E. Chambers is one of the best coached teams in district 12. I can't remember when E. Chambers had a bad year. They have 22
letterman returning with 6 on offense and 8 on defense.

18 days away from picking up reserved season tickets at Newton. 19 days away from practice.

Wow, Kountze finished fourth last year and made the playoffs for the first time in many years. Now some seems to think they are

In smaller schools like Newton, Key injuries play a big part in the playoffs. You have to have a good team and a little luck to
go with it.

Kirbyville is correctly rated as no. 8. Should have a Hugh line. Should have no problem winning district.

If I had known that coaches get there's first I would have majored in Education instead of Engineering.
