First Session of live game scrimmage 
Westbrook 2 TD’s 
Nederland 2 TD’s 
Westbrook 2 multiple play drives mixing short passes,mid range passes  & good runs, one drive ends on a 10 yd TD pass in the back of the endzone off a short QB scramble to his right other TD was a 15 yd run play off left tackle. 
 
Nederland CB #13 Isiah Hernandez intercepted a Westbrook pass at the goal line to end one Westbrook drive, play was blown dead. With isiahs speed might have been a pick 6
Nedeland offense did not do much their 1st 3 possessions with the #10  Ft.Bend Christian transfer at QB. Missed some open WR’s & no running game threat 
Ayden Sunday #18 came in at QB the next couple of series & threw a 50 yd TD pass to #24 on a go route down Westbrooks sideline 
Thr next series #18 Sunday threw a 20 yd pass to TE- #6 Caywood across the middle who took it 40yds for the 60 yd scoring play score

Westbrook 2 rushing TD’s 
Nederland 2 passing TD’s 
Nederland defense came up with 2 turnovers. A pick at the 1yd line by CB #24 & a fumble recovery at the Ned. 20 yd line 
#10 had a better 2nd half at QB, completed several nice passes on a couple of drives for 2 TD passes. A 30 yd TD pass to #6 Caywood & a 5 yd TD pass to #1 Barrow. 2nd half also had kicking game which #16 for Nederland had some nice deep kick offs, punts & made both xtra points 
Overall both teams look decent, both need some players to step up on both sides of the ball. Westbrook offense will need to score 60 a game to compete with the top 4 teams in their district. Nederland will need quite a few young players to consistently make plays on both side of the ball, play ball control offense & score , lights out defense, mistake free football & get some turnovers each game to get a playoff spot. Imo

so what coaches son you are saying got a lot more targets than other kids? 
everyone was keying on Fuselier, most of the time double team in coverage, a corner with high safety help, so you are mad at the qb for not throwing into double coverage?
 

With all the disgruntled players leaving that might just add to the win total instead of reducing it. 

I didn’t hear your whiny butt complaining about the staff a couple years ago when they went 3 rounds deep.  
 
same staff as now...different players.  They are young & there will be growing pains.  Some persevere...others, like you, complain.  

Well I guess being the first home game being on 9/9 that buys them a little bit of time… but still don’t think it will be complete.

Ned is at a disadvantage in the numbers game.  Been my contention forever that 5A-D2 has too big of a numbers gap, and Ned is one of the cellar teams.  You can pop a good season every so often, but to confront it consistently is a long row to hoe.  Jmo

I think there's a good chance Ned starts the season 3-3. If those three wins are all district wins I think they finish a game clear of Dayton and get the 4th spot. If for any reason they make that long ride to Missouri City to play FB Willowridge and have a night like they did against KP, or lose at home to Dayton the next week, it's pretty unlikely they make the playoffs. That last month of the season is brutal for the Dogs. 
I do think Ned's schedule is more manageable than Dayton and PNG's who they'll most likely be competing with for those last two playoff spots though. 

So basically we'll be able to get the magazine off the shelf sometime around our bye week?

Possibly true, I can’t confirm until enrollment is finalized in August. I do not think the OLineman was a starter last year. But if so I am sure those players are thinking they are doing what is best for them. Nothing wrong with that. Might be best for Nederland Program also, if you don’t have all players 100% committed to your philosophy & believing in your program you won’t be very successful

Nederland has had 6-7 returning starters flat out quit or transfer to another school in the last two months, they are in trouble, makes you wonder what’s going on at the dog pound 🤔

You are so delusional and unrealistic, it’s damn near impossible to have a conversation with you.   
 
Only 1 team in a division wins it every year.   At the start of the year, each division has around 5-8 teams that have a realistic chance.
 
Sometimes making the 3rd round, or state quarterfinals with the talent you are coaching is in itself a great feat.
 
if you think any coach is gonna go to PNG, and beat the current talent Crosby has had, or a program like Aledo, you don’t know the game of football.
 
Dodge didn’t win state at Marble Falls, or Cameron Yoe.   Didn’t even get close.   Why is that?
 
Surratt isn’t going to Hamshire-Fannett and going to win state, why is that?
 
When I go to watch a high school football game, I usually try to stand along a fence by the track to avoid ppl like you in the stands. Don’t have a clue, but boy, you have all the answers from row 32, seat C.
