I’m here. Field looks great. If you can’t play football on this grass surface, then you can’t play football.
Lets get’em Dogs!

Amazing. Perhaps because I’m older. HS Football was played exclusively on grass or mud for 60 or 70 years, and now it’s a disgrace? As K. Chesney said in his song, “The Boys of Fall”, “Well I feel that chill, smell that fresh cut grass, I’m back in my helmet, cleats and shoulder pads”. I guess now it’s, “smell that fresh cut rubber”. Doesn’t quite paint the same picture. One thing you folks complaining should remember. Bulldog field is still 120 yards long and 53 1/3 yards wide, with goal post at each end. And wet or dry, there’ll be a football game there Friday night, so go and enjoy it.

I’m all in for turf, just like the last time it was proposed. However, September is almost always wet, and has been since football was invented.. on grass. Its rained on many a homecoming..... It’s wet at my house, it’s wet at your house... Too wet to mow, too wet for lawn darts, picnics and outdoor twister.... bottom line is , both teams have to play on it.....Let’s get it on!!!!! (Until things change)

baddog got a reaction from BS Wildcats in ALDS-Indians vs Astros
No longer determined by the all-star winner, should the Astros be fortunate enough to get past Boston, they will have home field advantage for the World Series.
I never look past Boston because they are too good. Just think it would be cool to have home field.
Bring on Boston!

I'd like to see the Astros take at least one in Boston and win it @ home.

She figures the damage she could inflict has been done. If she just disappears into the darkness, maybe no one will bring charges against her lying ass.

I'm not even going to try and match you paragraph for paragraph. Your post is great and mine may have been the tip of the iceberg as to how kids are raised. I didn't explore the environmental aspects, even though it can play a huge part in the development of minds and where they can stray.
We have taken corporal punishment out of the schools. No discipline at school or at home. What is a young mind to do? Teachers have become teachers of curriculum only. I learned a lot from my teachers, a lot more than what was in a textbook...... And I am sure there are exceptions to that statement. I could go up and hug my teachers. Do that today, they get you for sexual assault. You can send a kid to RAC and maybe it works. I fear that that is where some of those kids would rather be. Again, no repercussions at home.
If you can instill a sense of respect in a child, teach them the love and fear of God, and teach them to have a conscience, they will grow up to be better human beings, regardless of outside influences.

Here's my take. It all goes back to parenting. We have now raised two unspanked/undisciplined generations. These people have not been taught the fear of God, respect for their elders, right from wrong, conscience or morality. They have been left to decide for themselves without any guidance whatsoever. An idle mind left to fend for itself will lean towards wrong. Right has to be taught.
Bring to mind someone who is a spoiled brat. Yeah, everybody knows at least one. How does their mind operate? Well, I think that says it all.

All the haters pulling for Oklahoma. Rivalry football can't be beat.

Win or lose, this was a different team. He is who TEXAS, LSU, tOSU and others thought he was. And we didn’t have to spend $70m to hire a coach on the hot seat, which is nice. For all those Texas haters, be afraid. Be very afraid. The future is going to be painful for you.

I don't think Texas collapsed as much as I think OU is just that good. For Texas defense to have kept them from doing that as long as they did to give our offense a chance to build that lead, well hats off to Texas for beating a very good OU team.
To win our rivalry game speaks volumes. Bring on the recruits.

This game reminds of the, I guess, "politically incorrect" title of this game, Red River Shootout. Showdown just plain stupid!

I might be an A&M, now. But God life is just a little better when UT is winning football games. Glad to see them playing well.
