UT beat Oklahoma, Oklahoma played Bama within 11, Texas would play Bama within 10, the only team to play Bama within 10 is Georgia, Georgia is the 2nd best team in the country, Texas must be #3. 

To be fair, I don’t think aggy realized they could ride jocks without shame until they joined the hillbilly conference.  There, riding Bama’s coattails is no more taboo than marrying your cousin.   So in truth, I'm not sure aggy knew it was a thing.  Otherwise, they could have been okay with sucking for years, and merely piggybacked big brother’s accomplishments as their own.  But let’s be happy for them; they have apparently finally found peace with their mediocrity after searching for three quarters of a century.  I say let them be blissful in their ignorance.  

i couldn't care any less about OU winning the whole thing, but it would be nice to see Bama eliminated. Almost had to eat your words. Funny how aggy tucks their tail and runs from a conference they couldn't win, then thumbs their nose at it while going to another conference they can't win, but somehow find an allegiance they never possessed in the Big XII. Hatred for Texas consumes all of you.....what a flag to bear. Keep admiring Bama instead of finding a way to beat them and you will always achieve the same success you had in the conference you now hate. Hate is such a motivator with pitiful results.

One of the main reasons the Dimms don't want government shutdowns is that it shines light on the fact that government can actually run with a lot less people!  If these people and departments are "non-essential", then why are they there??

Why are people stuck on “he said Mexico would pay for it.”  Who cares. Simple minded people.  It’s about protecting the border from ILLEGAL immigrants and all the issues they bring with them.

The thing that aggravates me is the media approach. MSN headline simply says the killer had gang ties. You have to read the article to know he is an illegal immigrant. Also to find that his brother and coworker who were also illegal were arrested for hindering the investigation.

The point I’ve tried to make while talking with folks, 6 Billion dollars to our Fed Govt is pocket change.  Everyone knows it’s not about the money with the Dems.  Trump promised his supporters a wall, so they refuse it, even though the country needs it, imo.

Having to look at Michelle would be a morale suppressor.  Melania a definite morale booster.

Saw an interview with the sheriff in the county where this happened.  It would be surprising if someone doesn't try to have him removed.  He blasted the thought of sanctuary cities, and not being able to get a wall built.  I hope the illegal pos tries to resist so the cops can give him a few between the eyes.  As far as Pelosi, wish the ground would open up and swallow her.

Who cares about this stuff ?  I am more worried about LeBrons appraisal of the NFL owners and getting rid of plastic straws.

That sure sounded racist to me.  Obviously James doesn’t have sense enough to know the responsibilities and rights that come with ownership.  Those NFL teams are now worth billions of dollars.  Why?  Because the public wants to see them, in person and on TV.  The public sets the value, which allows players to make those astronomical salaries.  If you alienate enough of that public, everything’s value goes down.  Primarily the owners, but also the players salaries.  Any decision made by the owners not to alienate the public is done because the players don’t have sense enough not to.  It’s not freaking rocket science.  Well, maybe it is for LeBron and Kappertwit.

Parts of it do shut down.  I have a friend that works in Washington, D.C. with the Secret Service.  An employee with more than 29 years of service to both (R) and (D) Presidents.  He is an agent that has since moved up the chain of command.  He and his staff have been furloughed.  Off work with no pay.  National Parks are closed and the staffs that work at them have been furloughed.  Don't come to work, no pay.  I agree, the major components of the U.S. Government remain open for business.  But, the shutdown does affect some.  I'd say the when it affects the Secret Service, the uniformed division, the agents, and the staff, e.g., fleet management, that is affecting national security.  Lots of government contractors have been furloughed, too.
If the US was to initially fund the wall and seek reimbursements from Mexico, then why didn't President Trump say that when he campaigned for office?  He changed the narrative after being elected.  He does that often.  So did Obama on healthcare.  Not cool, regardless of (R) or (D).
I do like some of Englebert's proposals.  I am concerned about the stress placed on the US health care systems and local law enforcements due to undocumented populations.

Just another example of “after money comes power”. James has more money than he knows what to do with.  Since money no longer matters, what does he strive for?.......Power/Influence. Now, somehow, his opinion matters. Funny he didn't say things like this straight out of high school. Needed to be set for life before opening up this can of worms. I respect James' opinion about as much as I do my dog's. All blacks want is total takeover....black owners, head coaches, and players.

Total BS. These players are not being judged by their skin color. Your race has decided to crap on America by kneeling for the anthem. Kapernick said he would stop kneeling if some team would hire him. That is fake solidarity right there. James said he didn't have anything to do with whites while in high school, so he was already practicing racism, but he kept his mouth shut until he had enough money that it wouldn't affect him in any way. Saying what he said is as racist as it gets. I am sick and tired of being made to feel like a bad person simply because I'm white. I'm not taking any more.
