Just read this is a policy the NFL has had for a few years of not allowing family members to speak on deceased players behalf.  I don't agree with it, but you know the NFL is scared to death that the lawsuit filed by the Seau family will be brought to the forefront if the daughter is allowed to speak.

I disagree with what you say about the word thug.  A thug is a thug no matter skin color.  I think it is seen that way because somehow race has to get involved. To many thin skinned ppl in the world.

Just so you don't think I'm one sided......If that was my Son in that video and he acted like that to a cop, I would let him sit a couple days in jail before I bailed him out. I probably would not have minded a little taser action to teach him a lesson. This country is going down fast, and this lack of respect for officers needs to end. Officers are people and are not perfect, nor can they read minds. This could of ended up much worse than it did, and I mean the traffic stop. Her committing suicide to me is a separate issue.
  

Seems media made it out that the killer at the SC church represent an entire race and we must remove every confederate flag out there and this muslim scumbag is a lone wolf and does not represent a peaceful bunch.

I make every effort not to do that towards anyone.  Sad.  I enjoyed these discussions.  I've learned.  Evidently, you've learned nothing. 

It seems that everyone tends to forget that slavery was prevalent in the north, as well.  The founding Fathers and writers of the Declaration of Independence were slave owners as well.  Does this justify anything, no.  But let's not forget that slavery was just an issue in the South.

You're right, and I honestly feel that if the flag had not used as a symbol by the KKK and other hate groups, we would not be having these discussions.

There are those of us on here that will agree to disagree over the flag.  There is one thing that is for sure and that is we can all agree that slavery, hangings, and all other atrocities should not have ever happened.  The removal of all symbols of the South will not change this.  There is nothing we can do about what happened then.  We need to realize that just because we don't agree with what is taking place,  does not mean one is racist or not.  It is just a difference of opinions.  In the end,  all of this is really getting nobody anywhere.

Hope they're allowed to keep it as well,  but somebody with nothing better to do will try to stir the pot.  By the way,  that baseball rivalry between Big Sandy and Evadale is great.  Mine graduated this year,  but I'm at least gonna try to catch these two games for sure.  If it's anything like last three years, they will get to play each other 3 times.

You only look at things through your point of view.  Was slavery and everything that went along with bad, you bet it was.  I know you mentioned you had a gr grandfather that was a slave.  I am truly sorry about that,  irregardless if you think I don't.  But no matter how bad the past was, at some point one must move on.  You see the flag as a symbol of slavery, others don't.  Whether or not that flag flies, it will not change history. History is was it is, history.  We can't change it, but we can learn it.
