I no this probably belongs in the sports section but we talk PC police and Hispanics more than any others on this board so just curious

He was on his way out anyway from what I've been reading. What a way to go out though. That kinda stuff follows you to whatever network you work for in the future. He already had a lil bit of a reputation of bordering that thin line sorta speak.

He made his living at ESPN by being somewhat controversial his entire time.  He basically puts his two weeks notice in because he's going to fox and gets canned by ESPN.  This way they can say they got rid of him.

What he said is the truth.  Kids can be drafted at 16 in foreign countries and most are in baseball academies full time way before that.  The Dominican and other Hispanic countries see baseball as their way out, not education.  These baseball academies put very little emphasis on anything other than baseball.  

 

Kids going pro at 16 don't have near the education or life experiences of an American college kid or even an 18 yr old HS graduate.  Until the MLB changes the draft rules for foreign born players this will continue to be the case.
