sometimes its more than a winning record. jeff matthews is first one comes to mind about longevity and losing record. phenomenal coach whos record doesn't illustrate his impact.

Mathews is a great coach, Peevey is a great coach! Peevey took LCM to 4th round  this year. Vidor has not been there since 1964. Im sure he would rather go to 4th round, than get coach of the year.I know I would.  Either way both coaches do a great job. 

Money isn't a factor for Toby in this situation.

LH doing pretty good considering no one giving them a chance.  

It's got them to the title game  more times than that . Its a good offense. I'm a Vidor fan so that's why I hate it,  It gets old year in and year out

It wouldn't have mattered. Palestine or not, Thompson was the aire to the job.

Forgive what?  I don't think Toby moped around whining about Coach T getting the job nor does WOS need to be forgiven for promoting a coach with over 40 years in the system who took them to at least the region finals 10 of his 11 years. I'm thinking Toby will be on the short list of quality coaches.

I understand the point your making but back then that 61 year old coach had been the backbone of the Mustang program especially the defense on which we’ve hung our hat on for many years. (Decades actually). At that time he was the most deserving and obvious choice even over a young, fiery and energetic coach (but one without any HC experience at the time). It was simply Coach Ts time. Now it’s Tobys time. He’s now the most deserving and obvious choice if he so chooses. I believe the community wants him, the question is does the superintendent want him? For the good of the Mustang dynasty I hope he does.

No doubt LH is a unselfish hard nosed discipline team. Very well coached. Looking forward to watching them this Saturday.

I bet Peevey would prefer a deeper playoff run than a meaningless title. C'mon quit hating on LC-M, they did a great job this season. Give credit where it's due

And some of the board members who are driving this has to understand there kids aren’t part of that talent pool.

In football, low man wins.  Having said that, I don't think LH can keep SOC out of the end zone enough

Don’t go there…..

LH's smaller lineman using quick angle blocking techniques can really offset the size differential . The more athletic teams tend to over pursue when defending the slot-T and that's the one of the things that LH has going for them, the other being HEART. The odds are stacked against them when facing SOC but I guarantee they come to play like they always do.

I'd take Fairclothe over Rio  if given the option because  he did a lot with the talent he was given. I don't think Rio would be any more successful than BF but I'd take him in a heartbeat over JDC and Langston. If PNG has an honest hiring process then they should draw some great candidates . Just my opinion and nothing more. Best of luck to your Indians during this process.
