Maybe some clarity is required. How are you not prepared in the 1st half but then become prepared in the second half with no additional time to prep?
Do you mean to say that the coaches had a poor game plan for the 1st halves of those 2 games, but then adjusted well in the 2nd halves of those 2 games (if so, I agree), or do you have a different message. Just not clear on this one...
LC-M v Lumberton should be a good matchup. With not much more than a gut feeling and looking at both team's season thus far, I might have to say I think Lumberton wins this one.
Lumberton’s game plan needs to be better from the get go. Adjustments in 2nd half have been real good, but 1st half against Huffman and Splendora has them having to come back from 24-7 in both games. They need to come out of the gates at full tilt and not playing catch up.
I'm not even talking about your color/race being poked fun at.
So, next progression - is it fair to say that women have been treated unfairly since basically the dawn of time? I think so. So, then, should men never be able to dress like women?
Lol...Well, it does and it doesn't. I don't think we should take an extra block on the way home to avoid the bully. If there's no harm in Eddie Murphy portraying an old (which Murphy wasn't), fair-skinned (which Murphy wasn't), Jewish (which Murphy wasn't), character then why shouldn't he be able to play that character? The PC bullies say we can't so now we can't - That's why!
I just think we are taking things from one extreme to the other.
Can't argue with that - Especially LSU's secondary that has the ability to limit the QB play. Still gotta take the Tide til another team proves differently.
Lmbo...you're being too wishy washy. From your tone, I get that you don't have a real problem with it. Do you agree?
You gotta help me out, I'm going somewhere with this.
Ok. Take a white actor. Let's say Johnny Depp who plays Tonto in "The Lone Ranger"
Or Eddie Murphy, a black actor/comedian as "Saul the Jew" in "Coming to "America" (he did an excellent job too...)
What if it's not used to sterotype on race or the other - what if it's used to honor a person or to at least portray a person with no racial / stereotypical jabbing or being made fun of?
I know Jeff and - WIN or LOSE - I would let my kids play on his team any day. The only thing I like more than winning is seeing a young athlete turn into a young responsible adult. I think Jeff provides that.
That was exactly my thoughts too. But you never know what to expect when you mix a bunch of teen boys, stir in some coaches fighting for their jobs, massive redistricting and some Friday Night Lights!
That's pretty fair Alpha...I think this game could potentially be so close as to be decided just like the LC-M / Splendora game...whoever gets the ball last will win the game. I hope both teams stay safe and play their hearts out. Can't wait for Friday Night! This is the game I've picked to go watch for the week, so I'm looking forward to a good one!
