I think vastly the entire free world believes that Iran is either directly or indirectly a global threat. You already know this, but I'll continue because I like to "hear" myself talk. Iran poses a multifaceted threat to global stability, primarily through its sponsorship of terrorist proxies, expanding missile programs and advancements in nuclear technology. It threatens U.S. and allied interests in the Middle East via groups like Hezbollah and Hamas. One guy, however qualified he may be, ain't gonna change my mind on that one... -
Sure, both "sides" do. Especially in his first term. But maybe I should qualify my comment. I'm sure the guy isn't quote "stupid". Does he suffer from amathia? Maybe. Or maybe a quote from political consultant Taylor Budowich has something to do with it. “This isn’t some principled resignation — he just wanted to make a splash before getting canned."

One could say DNA testing could be used instead. It would definitely be more effective. But it's over the top and, quite frankly, is unwarranted. Anyone can fake a birth record with minimal effort. But our political "leaders" come up with stupid crap that for some reason we blindly jump on board with thinking, "Yeah, that'll show 'em!" But it doesn't do anything if someone really wants to cheat the system. All it really does is muddy the water and give the other side a chance to claim SUPPRESSION! RACISM! Hell, let's cut the crap and just start getting chipped.
-
Of course it doesn't stop a fake birth certificate. It only stops the legal honest people in my opinion.

13 million... State? Don't you mean born in another country? Lmao. Sorry, I could not resist.
-
On that note, I'm looking for a Crown Vic - old 90's police interceptor style if anyone has one hanging around.

I don't have a problem having to show a common ID and proving that I'm eligible to vote. I think that is a must. But this is getting a bit ludicrous. What does having to show a passport or birth certificate accomplish? Does anyone here think it solidifies a person is who they say they are? Do we really believe that these forms of ID (especially birth certificates) are not easily forged or falsified? I don't think this SAVE Act is intentional voter suppression, although I think it could have that effect. I think it's more like the political right saying, "Hey look what we did! They stole the election, and we are going to fix it!" It's a dollar store band-aid at best. And the Left cries "VOTER SUPPRESSION!". But if they hadn't tried to open the borders to illegals in order to garner more votes, if they hadn't been caught with their hand in the cookie jar on numerous occasions and if they would agree to simple voter ID (not the SAVE Act), then this whole SAVE Act thing would never have been an issue. Asking for proof of identification at the ballot box, a precaution deemed necessary when buying alcohol or boarding an airplane and many other common instances, hardly seems inappropriate. Nor does it seem outlandish for states to routinely inspect their voter rolls to detect and purge inaccurate and out-of-date registrations, a requirement under the National Voter Registration Act. But, for me, the SAVE Act is unnecessary. It really doesn't accomplish what we want to believe it will.

Looks like I'm late to the party. As some of you know, I used to be a regular contributor. And I've always been pretty quick to let my feelings be known when I agree/disagree with a comment. Years ago, I would often give little personal attacks - especially on the football forum (ironic, huh); however, I quit doing that quite a while back. Should've never done it in the first place. It was all in fun for me, but not everyone takes it that way. I quit posting as much because it doesn't feel like discussion or even a spirited argument anymore. It's continual bashing from both sides, and I don't think either side is changing any of the other side's minds. Kinda the way this entire country is going these days, really. I still like to get on and look and read from time to time. I may even comment. But it's lost some of the glow for me. And if I'm being honest AAW, for a while you really made me question whether or not I would ever login again. That was quite a few year's ago, but it's always stuck with me. I realize and understand that this is a privately held site that can do as they please and run it however they want, but I didn't feel right about commenting on this topic without saying this. No hard feelings and it's all good, but it was definitely a bothersome issue for me. All that being said, I'll end this post with this: "A soft answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger" -Proverbs 15:1 "My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry..." -James 1:19

And if he'd been born a Biden, his Daddy would blindly pardon him... Or if her name was Mary Jo Kopechne it would've been swept under the rug... But wtf does Trump or anyone else have to do with this conversation???

Amen.

Since there's discrepancy on the ABCDF thing, I'll say an 83 (a high B- in my interpretation)

I will agree that he is not perfect, and there are things I don't like about him; however: (1) do you like that drug trafficking is down? (2) do you like that gas is around $2.25 per gallon for the first time since I can remember? (3) do you like that you get a tax break on the premium portion of your OT? Do you like the cost of eggs, butter and other staples being cut by 1/3 or more? (4) do you like inflation going from around 9% to around 3%? (5) do you like that illegal border crossings are down like 236 gazillion percent? (Sorry, didn't know the actual stat, but this one is probably close) (6) whether you like the man or not, do you like that he's not being led around by the Easter bunny, falling off a plane, falling off a bike, wandering off looking for someone to shake his hand, whispering incoherently into a microphone, hiding in a basement, calling men women, calling women men? ... I could literally come up with this crap all day. Reply with any of these positives you like. If you don't reply, I will assume you like them all like I do.

I agree with that to a point. As I’ve preached my opinion on here many times, it’s a combination of coaches, kids & community support. Really gotta have all 3 if you want continued success. You gotta have a good horse and not a mule for sure. But you also have to have a good jockey/trainer and an owner who’s willing to spend the money it takes. Since we’re doing the Kentucky Derby thing. -
“Therefore, just as through one man sin entered the world and death through sin, and thus sin spread to all men, because all sinned” (Romans 5:12, NKJV). Solomon said, “Truly, this only have I found: That God made man upright, but they have sought out many schemes” (Ecclesiastes 7:29, NKJV). We are ALL capable...

You're missing the point. Crime is an expression of self & free will. Plus crime prevention is racist. Plus did anyone consider the feelings of the "individuals with justice system involvement" (previously known as criminals)? I think we as a society need to take a step back and quit trying to defame those "impacted by the justice system" and consider replacing traditional law enforcement with behavioral health and social workers. 😎
