  1. I can tell you first hand those kids played to win. I talked to a couple LC-M coaches on the field after the game and there were quite a number of boys with their heads down either crying or upset. Nobody likes to lose.
  2. My bad. I understood the data. I just guess I didn't understand the intent for the post. I know you said it meant nothing. I was just wondering about the inspiration for the post or if there was a point to it.
  3. Ummm. I'd like one of those obesity pills please... Oh, and a big bowl of that good gumbo too!
  4. Agreed. Like camps, videos, phone calls, talking to coaches on the high school and college levels...
  5. I'm not doubting that LC-M may have won on a turf field - like I said, I was impressed. Could it have been closer? Maybe... Not sure if I'm going to have the opportunity to watch a game. I have a friend whose son plays for Lumberton, a friend whose son plays for PN-G, close friends who teach at the LC-M schools, several co-workers who have kids at Beaumont schools and Mid County schools. Honestly I'd like to watch Splendora, LC-M or Lumberton play. I've been following that district pretty closely this year due to ties to Lumberton & LC-M. Can't really pick yet....
  6. Then to flatly answer your question, I would choose the winning program. Even if my kid was on that team. Coaches are hired to win games.
  7. I actually watched that LC-M v LHS game. I was impressed with LC-M. They had a lot of improvement throughout the season. I know the mud field slowed down the Lumberton team, but the Bears took care of business. Good luck to LC-M in the post season!
  8. If it's a Legit Question, then your premise is a little flawed. If you got a coach that won football games (I mean won like Newton, WOS, etc. year in/year out) then the scouts are gonna come no matter what. Plus in this day and age, even Junior High kids can make their own highlight videos. Hudl, YouTube, MaxPreps and other sites give the ability for these kids to be noticed a lot more than even just 5 years ago. Therefore, if you had a coach that could bring a team wins, then he would effectively be getting those same kids recruited. So, with that thought in mind, your question could only be: Would you rather choose a coach that wins football games and gets kid recruited or would you rather choose a coach that loses football games and gets kid recruited? I'll take the winner please...
  9. No doubt. Gonna be 40 below outside.
  10. That would be even sillier...
  11. I heard they left ALLL those other teams out just so they could leave WOS out...
  12. I think it's silly to leave any of them out...
  13. Well that’s silly. It was posted Sunday. Silly.
  14. I hate what happened to Tucker Carlson, et. al. I sure miss me some O'Reilly Factor though...
  15. I have no problem sticking with Dak with a few caveats... 1. Get rid of Howdy Doody Hand Clapper and find a real head coach - not just a yes man to the owner who wishes he was the head coach himself. 2. Make Dak be like he was in his first season - let him run without sliding...he's a big boy. Get him out of the pocket and running for a first down occasionally. 3. Teach Dak how to pass with cunning and accuracy and further than 7 yards downfield - they got Cooper for a reason - now let's learn how to throw a deep ball!... Hire a QB coach that can develop him. 4. As a person, I like Dak Prescott. He seems to be a quality young man. He takes responsibility for his mistakes and he works hard from all reports. As a Dallas Cowboy QB - he is less than average. The organization needs to get him up to speed or find another QB. But it's on the organization and his coaches to teach him!
  16. I couldn't agree more with those two lines... I would like to say the first line also has to do with the coaching staff of any organization...
  17. Tell us how you really feel. I know your OPINION, may not agree with others, but no need for lashing out and calling another member an idiot.
  18. There are several ways to look at it: 1. As far as the getting embarrassed part... Does that mean that Livingston shouldn’t have been allowed to play at all? Of course not 2. Ask any of the kids from any 3rd or 4th seed team if they are willing to chance getting blown out by an opponent for the opportunity at a playoff game. I’m willing to bet they would want to make the playoffs. 3. Think of the upset possibilities. They can and will happen. That’s exciting to me! 4. It does take away some if the shininess of making the playoffs when you have, say, 4 of the 6 teams making it. Its all how you look at it, I guess.
  19. I know nothing about Wheatley, so I hesitate to comment on the possible score; however, I will say a turf field can only help the Raiders. But if Wheatley is 7-2, they must be doing something right.
  20. Both parents were in the Corps. Thinking about them on the birthday.
  21. Poor game plan. Unlike Huffman and Splendora game, poor adjustments in the second half. It was disgusting.
  22. Lumberton won’t have to worry about later rounds... just sayin.
  23. Why the hell didn’t they ground and pound with #23. Those conditions are perfect for a rb like him. I also can’t understand 4th and 1 from your own 12 trying to throw a pass with Lumberton’s current passing lack of success. Lots of questions about that game...
