1. Anyone know how Pace is doing?  I understand he was injured against Silsbee.
 2.
Does anyone know the score for LC-W vs NED-W? It's not listed on the STJFL website.

Smart guy...Lol.
 5. Is that why Central beat Ball by 17 and lost to 5-A Westbrook by only 6 points?  They got smoked by Memorial, but so would BH (all day!).  Get your facts straight.  School spirit is one thing, but you are delusional!  Like I said, BH is not a bad team...but they are a middle of the road team.  Definitely not a number 1 prospect.

Victims of 19-4A Lumberton :'( (BH win) PNG :'( (Crosby win) Nederland :'(  (BH win and Dayton win) Did I leave any sad souls off the list?
Looks like the best team in 20-4A might be BH.
I'm sure they would be if they were in 20-4a.
That's the point I was attempting to make.
With all due respect, Barbers Hill is a middle of the road team at best.  Beating Lumberton this year is no great feat.  Haven't gotten to see Big Ned play yet, but I don't thimk they are bringing the pain this year either.  Get you some of the boys from Central and tell me what you think.  BH can make the playoffs, but they are not the best team in any district...theirs or 20-4a.
 7.
I wouldn't bet on a defensive struggle. Too many weapons on both teams!
I agree.  Lumberton (with few credible offensive weapons) scored 35 on Silsbee.  High scoring game coming up.

 9.
They're right where they need to be, 5th. Just like last year, Lumberton White came out hitting, then all of a sudden, they weren't so fast anymore :D
I will say one thing.  I saw WOS play a hard-hitting Lum Red team that kept them to 6 points & they still won.  I also saw them play BMT-B and trample them.  5th is too low. 1 or 2 PNG-G 1 or 2 LUM-W 3 WOS 4 LUM-R 5 BMT-G PA doesn't count, so I omitted them.
 10. Does anyone know the score for LC-W vs NED-W? It's not listed on the STJFL website.
 11.
1. PNG-G 2. Port-Arthur 3. Lumberton-W 4. BMT- G 5. WOS
5 Real good teams!  I would have to put WOS a little higher...but really the rankings could be mixed just about anyway you want from the looks of things.  Lum Red might squeeze in there too from what I've seen.
 12.
smashmouth, thats why we are playing the game, being competitive and letting these little men get better
Amen on that one.
 13. You know what I love?...The fact that there are so many good teams!  Makes the games fun to watch and keeps these kids getting better, year after year.
 14.
Newton is a very good team but this is Silsbee's year to make some noise. Very tight game until 4th quarter when Silsbee's defense makes some big plays. I expect the score to be Silsbee 34 Newton 28. Go getem Tigers!
Gotta say you missed the mark on this one.  I think it will be a close game, but Newton's gotta be the pick.  Tigers played 2 teams that were inferior programs, and a Lumberton team that plays with a lot of heart and aggressiveness, but simply does not have the tools to win this year.  Hope Silsbee wins, bit I gotta give Newton the nod so far.
 15.
WOS all day as the favorite but Silsbee sure can make some noise with upset
Well said.  Gotta take WOS at this point, but the Tigers could definitely make it interesting.
 16.
After watching majority of the teams play yesterday, IMO, the strongest teams were 1. BMT GOLD, 2. WOS, 3. LUMBERTON RED, 4. BMT BLUE 5. LUMBERTON WHITE
Hey 85, I've followed most of your posts and I agree with most of your picks.  Gotta say PNG Grey is a top team though.  Who do you think is the top 5 after week 3?
 17.
watched 1/2 of this game . all teams better be concerned with the grey team, them and wos might be  the ones to win it all this year.  really a complete team. 22 is a awesome player, im sold . titans are also a great team, good luck guys
What about Lum White.  I know they won, but did you happen to see any of their game?
 18.
Cant wait for 730 to roll around...
AMEN!
 19.
Yes I agree with you that Cody quit!! I feel he quit because he was a contributor to the team but was being passed over by backs who were getting scholarships and IMO are not as good as he is. I would also say that if he were giving what he deserved (any type of scholarship, financial assistance) he would still be on the team. This is just my opinion of course. Now with these guys coming into LU and getting scholarships some being equal and some not as good of RBs and Hussey is STILL being passed over why stay? If you attended either of the scrimmages prior to the season you would see Hussey was running the ball well!! Then to just be pushed to 4th string?? He deserves more than that!! I am not defending him just because he went to my Alma Mater. I am saying this because its the TRUTH!!! But evidently he wasnt shaking the right peoples hands!!!   Anyway this is all I have to say about the situation. I honestly do not think he was treated but, but then again life isn't fair sometimes!! He is a tough kid and I am sure if he puts forth the same effort he did at LU he will have a fulfilling life ahead of him!! I am OUT!! RAIDER88!!!
You are definitely out...OUT of touch with reality... If you're so closed-minded to think the coaches didn't start him because he didn't brown nose enough, then you will never be able to see the light.
 20.
How many of you would stick around risking your health and not receive a DIME of scholarship money! NO books, no tuition NOTHING!!! Lol Yeah that's right Hussey played for the Love of the game! I don't care what any of you Yahoos have to say about his speed the kid was a contributor! He gave it his ALL every play! I agree with Husseys decision and I don't think any of you know the entire story!! You only know what you have heard or what you THINK you know!! If Hussey would have went to Navarro Jr college he would still be playing! Now that's the TRUTH!! Like it or not!!!
That may be true...but he quit at Lamar, and that's why he no longer plays there.  If he played solely for the "Love of the game" then he would STILL be there.  He was playing (and rightfully so) for a starting spot and hopes of a scholarship.  Unfortunately, he did not get that.  I like Cody, and I love seeing a local favorite like him getting a chance at LU...but that's all it is....A CHANCE! No guarantees.  Not to be argumentative, but YOU have no idea what he would be doing had he gone to Navarro.  He could have been injured at Navarro and never saw a single down of playing time.  If you take the emotion away and just consider the facts, it boils down to this...Cody quit (right or wrong) and that's why he no longer plays for Lamar.
Well real world and college sports is a business and you get paid to win. I'm sure Coach W has a bit better clue as to whats up than you.
I love how all you people just go along with what Woodard does, no questions asked.  You are a bunch of sheep.  If you think speed is all that matters in football your really have no clue about the sport.  Some of the best running backs weren't fast.  I wonder why carl lewis and what's his name bolt aren't playing football?  Why was Emmitt Smith so good?  Backs are stereotyped and too often not given a fair chance...just like quarterbacks and too many other positions in sports.  The question is do they get the job done or not?  Wasn't Zach Thomas too slow and little?  Wes Welker too little?  I could go on and on and on.  The speed of the game was too much...oh give me a dang break.
In no way does speed account for all the attributes of a good back...but c'mon, now, Hussey ( a good kid in my opinion ) is no Emmit Smith.  I think you must have a beef with Coach Woodard, and I think you don't have the first clue about what you're talking about.  Things change from season to season.  It's Woodard's decision to make.  I don't agree with all of his decisions either...BUT IT'S NOT MY YTEAM!  If I was Hussey, I would work my butt off t o get my spot back...THAT IS HOW IT'S DONE!

 24.
I'm wondering if Silsbee's defense can handle a run first team like this. Lumberton runs that wing T old school offense and its hard to shut down. I think this game will be very close and will be decided by less than 10 points. Lumberton always plays Silsbee tough!
That is a very inciteful analysis of the situation.  I am a Raider fan, but Silsbee's team seems to be solid; however, they have played to low caliber teams to this point (sorry Cleveland, but it's true...).  Lumberton always plays Silsbee tough!  Anything could happen, but the pendulum is swinging towards the Tigers.
