With 18 starters coming back from a scrappy team I think they should at least be considered as the district champion. Whether or not they win it remains to be seen but saying they will make the playoffs should be a pretty safe bet. IMO

After this last season I'm not sure what BC will have coming back. But I don't believe BC was a senior laden team. I believe they will have quite a few coming back. If someone knows how many players will be coming back please post. Also, I am hearing some players may be moving away from BC now that school is out. I don't know if this is a rumor or not.

What year was it that Bridge City lost to Hutto? And what round was it? I think it was the last season Tarver was the HC, 2006 I believe, and I think it was the quarterfinals. Maybe the semi's :-\

I don't remember the stats or the score but I think HJ won big. Someting like 40-7 or something like that. But if my memory is correct I believe that game was after Hurricane Ike and many of the starters for the Cardinals were not back in school yet. Not trying to take anything from HJ but I think BC's starters were depleted. Don't know if that would have changed the outcome but probably would have made the score a little closer anyway.

I don't know what his personal reasons are but I am wondering if Orangefield will contact him. If he has some personal problems that need his full attention then maybe not.

Bridge City should be a lot better this year.I think most of the players will be juniors and seniors. Plus this is the third year under coach Stump.

Too many tournaments were going on. I got there right at 6 and if my partner had not gotten there early and already launched we probably would not have launched for another 30 minutes or more because the line was all the way back to the main road coming in the park. We only caught two keepers. One each. One about 7 or shortly after and the other about 8:30. Both on soft plastic.

Hated that that one ended that way. That game could have gone either way. Cards need to stay up and win game two then hope for the best in game three.

If I am reading this right we are down to three boats. I was hoping we could get more participation than this. Are we still going to do it?

I am locking this thread. It has gotten way out of hand. Enough has been said about it, too much, in my opinion. It can only get worse. Tempers are flaring. Lets move on to something else.

Okay, Its been several days and I have not seen anything else on the forum about this tourney. Is it still on? Has anymore posters signed up? Has anybody found a partner for Bullets? Keep us informed.

Ok folks..........I tried to get a buddy of mine to enter this tourney so he could fish with bullets. He can't because of a Mobil Oil tournament. Looks like it would be a 4 boat tournament. So, do we want to fish a 4 boat tournament OR postpone and set another date? There was 8 members that said May 30 Th would be their choice. I was not one of them but said I would anyway. There should be at least 4 more entries who said they would fish on the 30 Th. Where are they. This could be fun but I guess it is hard to get a group together. Some say they would like to but then when it comes down to it they have other priorities. Postponing it would probably result in the same outcome.
