1. A well deservng athelte. He sounds like a great kid also when he honors his parents like he did. Good luck Hunter.
2.
Who could have drawn up a better scenerio than the 3A playoff brackets for great local games so close to the Triangle. Even though the outcomes were less than expected it was a great year for local baseball with deep runs by most teams with State appearances by Evadale and Jasper. Congratulations to all playoff teams for a job well done from 1A to 5A and TAPPS.     Thank for a great four year run for our Jasper coaches and thanks for all the extra work that goes on that nobody but the spouses and children of coaches see. We appreciate everything that you do. Also good luck to the Brown family as they go to Center in 18 3A and Coach Brown takes over as the new Head Coach. Hopefully we will see some tournament baseball from Center in the GT area.     As one page is turned another becomes clearer and summer ball starts next week for several Jasper players as Soisson,Burleson, Sowell, and Ty Parker start with the Texas Prospects in the Texas Showcase League. They will be playing in the 18u Gray and Black teams at a college town near here as well as Alvis playing in a North East Texas league with several LT signees. Good luck this summer and next year in college fall ball.
Well said and Karma for you.
3. Prayers from across the bridge in Cardinal country Mike. Stay healthy.
4. I am hearing that Jasper lost a lot of players. If that is true I am not too sure they will be a top 5 team. I also believe BC and Sislbee will be a toss up. I am not sure of what Silsbee has comming back but BC, I believe, will have a lot back from last and some good JV kids moving up. As for the rest I do not know. I am not saying that BC or Silsbee will be #1. I leave that to WOS but BC and Silsbee should be in the top five.

6. My prayers go out to you and your family. Good luck.
7.

"Third Class" SETX team "mudholes" Clear Lake, JR.   JK ;)
Real classy - and you folks whine about 1 person. You should have heard the classy PNG fans tonite, take back most of what I have been saying. Talking trash to pitchers when he is up 17-0, we will remember that for a long time. And the folks in the top row of the bleachers on the PNG side, real class act as well. Hope we can come back and play better tomorrow, but if PNG acts like this again - Go Brenham and I will be sitting behind the folks who ragged on us, I will remember ya!!
Relax FWstang. Those types of games sometimes happen. It can happen to anyone. You won the first game so your team deserves to be here. I don't live in PNG land but I would support them against almost anyone. There fans are classy. There are some in every school that even their own fans would like to punch in the nose. Don't judge the whole crowd by some unrully morons. Good luck to both teams tomorrow.
8. Way to go Card's. Take them again at Nederland on Saturday.
9. I think last year we had a count down clock to kick-off of week "0".
10. Don't know anything about Robinson so I won't do any predicting. I just believe Orangefield can play well against any team. Go get um Bobcats.
11.
What does it take to win STATE. ;D
Good coaching, hard work, great athletes, and a lot of luck.
12.
Barbers Hill has at least 22,just ask the parents on the Hill..................
Good one. lol. As with other schools also I'm sure.
13. I know WOS has a lot of returners. I have to give them the nod to take district. BC has some good ones returning but I am not too sure of how many. Orangefield will have their QB back I think but I am not too sure of who else is returning. Maybe Bleed Orange can enlighten us on this. Silsbee lost it's great QB but I am not sure of who else. I think they lost a lot but maybe I am wrong. Right now I say: 1. WOS 2. BC 3. Orangefeild/Silsbee. The rest I can't even guess.
14. I think WOS will have a better shot this year than last year. I believe they are returning most of their team offense and defense. It all depends on how good the other playoff teams are. I don't think Kirbyville will be a contender for the championship. However, they will be very good. I believe they too will return a lot of players. It is just that they will be one of the smallest schools in 3A. PNG -maybe-. They lost a great running back in Harmon but according to the sportscast on channel 4 the other night they have a great running back comming up from the JV. The report said that he averaged 150 yards a game with only 15 carries on average. Their purple and white scrimmage later this month could shed a little light on how good the running back and the whole team will be. A good running back cannot do it all by himself. He has to have a good line also and I don't know what they will have comming back. Newton is like WOS. They are always competive even in their so called rebuilding years. I don't think they have many players comming back so this might not be a banner year for them. Nederland and Central are always good also. I don't know what they have returning so I can't make a guess. LCM should be much improved because of their returning starters but I don't think they will be strong enough to win state. JMO, but I am getting excited about football already.
15. I guess this will be the norm for that stadium.
16. When I was in high school we played TJ and Lincoln. Those two teams also shared the stadium with SFA. I don't ever remember them scheduling more than two games in a weekend. One of the teams alwaysed played an away game. The Saturday games were always played at night. Just wondering if there was some other reason.
