2. I was at the game last night and Cleveland did not get lucky. They were clearly the better team. Bridge City played well in the first half but could not keep it up in the second half. Great season Cardinals and you have a good group coming back for next year and will again contend for a play off spot. Congratulations Cleveland Indians. You played tough and were a little bigger and stronger than a young Bridge City team. You may just go a long way in the play offs.
3. Actually I like the poll. It takes away the smack talk and the guessing what the score will be. Like Dayton wins by at least 30 or Vidor wins by at least 30. The game will probably be close because it is two good teams playing. It is ashame that one will be eliminated so early in the play offs. This quality of teams should not have to play each other until at least the third round. JMO.

7.
WOS got lucky.. i think all around BC is a better team!
Stir, stir... :D
8. If WOS's flag carrier stands in the middle of the field and waves to their crowd then why not the opposing team have their flag carrier meet the other flag carrier and stand back to back and wave the opposing teams flag to their crowd. No fighting just show the same school spirit. I think standing on the hash marks closest to your stands would be better weather both teams did it or just one, but if no fights break out between the flag carriers then just have both of them stand in the middle of the field and wave their flags all they want to.
9.

That's in any sport! I know you know that. When a team is missing starters in any sport on any level it can effect the out come of a game. Surely you know that.
you're right, it CAN effect the outcome of a game, but not WILL. but when your team loses and you set in stone that they lost because the weather, starters being out, and whatever your head can come up with just so you feel better about your predictions or just to "defend" your team it becomes an excuse.
:D It's called the truth! Guess i'll give an example....Let's say the Pats lose Tom Brady and 3 Offensive Linemen, you think they will be as good?  ::)
I think BC will have to play the best game of their season to win the game. Weather they will or not will be revealed Friday night. Football has always had a little luck involved in winning games, especially close games. No matter if the field is a sloppy mud fest or starters are out for whatever reason or injuries occur to key players, the game still counts. That's football. Would haves and could haves don't count. The final score does. Whoever wins or whoever looses can't use excuses or "reasons" as to why they lost and say if the game were played again under different conditions we would have won. No one knows that. The winner may win by more in better conditions. No one knows. So please, lets drop "we win in better conditions or if all starters are here and healthy". That's just the way the game is played. You do the best with what you have to play with on any given night. And, hey, that may be enough to win by. Good luck to both teams. And may the teams play a clean game and injury free.
10. LHP12 you forfot to pick a Woodville @ Kirbyville winner.

12. Boy, where to begin. Even though I am a Bridge City fan I am wanting to comment on both sides of the fans. First of all 33 speaks for himself. I don't know the poster but I don't like the smack talk he is doing. It just riles up the other side. WOS is a good football team and it will be hard for BC to win the game. I think BC can win but I would have to have physic powers to know what will happen. BC is playing the best football it has played in the last three years and WOS is probably playing the worst it has in the past three years. But the stats are still in WOS's favor. I think they will win but the game will be hard fought on both sides and WOS will have to play hard to win. I think WOS is badly mistaken and trying to fool themselves if they think that they would have beaten Silsbee on a dry field. WOS you only had about 65 yards total offense during the game where Silsbee had 180+ yards I think. With that kind of offensive output you were lucky they did not score more. On a dry field Silsbee still wins in my opinion. WOS fans said after the Brookshire Royal win that they turned it around and were now playing like the Mustangs could. It seems like everytime you win you think that the team has turned it around. WOS has a lot of young inexperienced players this year. I think they will be better next year but accept it. They may win out the rest of the year or not. If they do they probably will not go very far in the playoffs, but again I would have to have some kind of physic powers to see into the future to know that. If BC gets into the playoffs they may go a round or two, it depends on who they face. I predict WOS capable of winning by 1 or 2 TD's. Weather they play well enough to will be seen Friday night.
13. Great game BC. I am proud of you. Great effort. Congratulations on the win Silsbee.
14. I being a BC fan have to say the fan support in BC is very good. Most of the fans are parents of their kids that are involved with the team, band, strutters, etc. There are some faithful that go to the games to see the game that don't have kids involved. Then there are the parents of the little kids that go just to bring their kids. Over a 10 year period you would find a large turn over in the people who attend. I'm sure that is the case at most schools. However, I would say that PNG has the best fan support. I worked with some PNG fans that went to their games anywear or in all conditions. They even brought me to some and we had to get there by 6:00 pm and the stands were full by about 6:30 pm. They were the loudest I have ever seen. Some old dude had an air horn and he would blow the thing when things would quiet down and yell out too bits and then the noise would start up again. I had to say it was fun. I have made a point of going to watch different teams every year play. Lufkin vs South Lake Carrol, Newton vs whoever in their state championship game, WOS vs Jasper, PNG vs LCM just to name a few. The PNG vs LCM game was when PNG did not have a good team and their stands were packed and the noise was just as intense. I also saw Nederland vs Thomas Jefferson play when TJ was awarded the 5Th down. That was a very large crowd also but not as intense as any of the PNG games that I saw. I would have to say Orangefield and Bridge city have good crowds also but if the team is having a down year then the stands reflect the quality of the team. Just about any school has this problem but I think PNG doesn't suffer as much as others. PNG by far has the best fans with Nederland second. By the way I have seen many of Orangefields games also.
15. It is going to be a fine stadium and I am glad that the BISD schools will have it. If it only holds 10,000 or even 12,500 I doubt that PNG and Nederland would agree to play there for a playoff game. They would probably play in a larger stadium. Lamar or Stallworth stadium in Baytown. I believe it holds more than PNG's stadium I think. It probably could get some of the 3A playoff games. I know that PNG and Nederland and I think Memorial stadium in Port Arthur has hosted 3A playoff games. I'm talking bi-district or area rounds.
16. 1. Silsbee 2. WOS 3. Orangefield. Come on BC prove me wrong. The bayou bowl will decide 3rd.

19. Orangefield is probably the most underrated team in 21 3A. Their offense speaks for itself. I think they run the wing T and they do it very well. I think Orangefield has an excellent shot at making the playoffs. I am very impressed with them. Especially since their coach was hired during the summer, just weeks away from the start of the first practice. They lost to EC. Not trying to take anything away from a good EC team but it was in week zero, I believe, that they played. It takes time to learn a new offensive and defensive scheme. Orangefield has done learned very well. I think they should have no problem winning the game. As for the score, well, HJ only scored 10 against BC so I would think they will not score much more than that, if any, against Orangefield. I believe Oranage field will score 28 to 35. This is just my opinion. Good luck to both teams. Should be a good game on a good night for high school football.
20. No, I am a big BC supporter. I hope BC wins but I don't want to talk any trash. BC has a good defense but I am not sure how it will stack up the speed that Silsbee has. Our secondary is pretty good so we may be able to defend the pass somewhat. However, Jeremy Johnson is a very good QB. As I said in my earlier post, I saw Silsbee play Newton, a team that I think is exceptional this year, and their speed was phenomenal. BC has a good team but we have not seen any speed like Silsbee has. Liberty, Kelly, Kountze, Buna, or LCM are not the same quality as Silsbee is when it come to speed. Good luck Cards. I hope you come out the winner. We will see.
21. Bridge City did not win comfortably but they did win even after most thought they would loose. They played very well against HJ. The Hawks are a good team and the season is not over yet for them. I would give just about anything for BC to beat Silsbee, WOS and Orangefield this year and go to the playoffs. Beating Silsbee will be what I consider too great a task. Be realistic. Silsbee has a lot of speed. I saw them play Newton. Newton is good but the game could have gone either way. Silsbee beat WOS fair and square last night and I think no mater what the conditions were Silsbee would still have won the game. I also think Newton could beat WOS this year. Kirbyville did everything but win the game when they played WOS. However, I still think WOS will win out the remainder of their games. If they do loose one more it will be to Orangefield. But that is a big if. I predict Silsbee, WOS, Orangefield, then Bridge City. I say Silsbee wins 28-7. Just too much speed for the Cards. If I am wrong then great. This is just my opinion on how things have and will happen.
