Does anybody know if this new transferee will be able to play on the varsity or not? And if so when?

I would like to see this game too but WB has nothing to win in this game. If they win, so what they are 5A and they should win. However, if they lose.......that's not good. I may be wrong but I don't think a 3A team can play a 5A team. I believe the UIL does not allow a team to play two classifications above or below it's own classification.

I don't think that how good a kid is or is not should be discussed on a public forum. And then to have a poll for all to vote on "good or no good". I am deleting this thread.

I don't know why it shouldn't be brought up. My wife substitutes over there sometimes and she said word is all over the school of how good of a pitcher he is. That is all I know.

I would love to if I can get away. I live in BC and I am going through rebuilding my house. I would prefer fresh water. I know it probably would be Rayburn, which is very good, but, I rather Toledo because I have a camp there.

Actually where he was fishing, you could probably see down a long way, almost like it was tap water. I don't know if that makes anyone feel any better but the water there can be crystal clear. What if the shark was swimming toward you. You would not see it until it was right on you.

I like the idea of the lords prayer being recited from the stands before the game during the moment of silence. I think the fans and probably the students would like it also. But I'm sure some would balk at it and then the authorities would stop it. I wish that the supreme court could be overruled on their judgment about school prayers. Instead the majority of Americans cannot pray publicly even though we out number the ones who don't like it.

I am not making any predictions as to where BC or HJ will wind up in the standings next year. But two years ago when more starters for BC were sophomores than there were seniors the game was decided in the last minute which HJ won. I don't think that game could be called a whipping by whichever team that won. Last year HJ won pretty handidly. However, remember that the game was played no more than two weeks after hurricane Ike wiped out the town of BC. A lot of kids had not returned to school yet because they did not have a house to live in. Many of these kids were starters for the Cardinals. That being said I think the BC/HJ game is a toss up as to who will win. P. S. I would like to thank the HJ school district on the way they handled the BC football players after the game last year. That was a very noble gesture.

Way to go BC. Comming from behind to beat WB was very good. WB is a very good team.

I wish I could go but rebuilding my house has to come first. It will be hard to find a spot to fish on the lakes this week with spring break starting. There will be many boats out on the lake.

Nederland high school is a very good high school, part of a very organized school district. It would be a plus for any student to be a part of PNG or Nederland. Both schools represent their district very well. PNG and Nederland are very competitive on and off the field but I think each school is interested in educating its students more than saying we have a better stadium than you do.

I went back and looked up the score. HJ won 41-14. The game was played on October 10, just a few weeks after hurricane Ike wiped out our town. Many of BC's players were not in back in BC therefore not in school. I am not saying that BC would have won the game had all their players been back. I'm saying that they would have been a better team under normal circumstances. Let's hope and pray that another hurricane does not come to our part of the world next year. I would not like to see any other community go through what we are still going through. If HJ has a lot of their players back from last year then they may well take the third spot. Good luck to the Hawks and the Cardinals.

Sorry, I guess I was thinking of the wrong game (team). What was the score anyway? With Ike i did not get to see many games and can't remember the score.

I don't know HJ, BC has almost everybody coming back also and they did win last year. Good luck though.

Bridge City's pitching did not have a good night. Hicks looked all right on the mound but errors hurt. Gave up two runs. After that several other pitchers gave us a look but did not impress me very much. At times they threw the ball hard but also gave up too many hits. The errors better get corrected or there could be trouble. The catcher needs to hustle a little more. Nederland's catcher was very good. He saved a lot of passed balls but some got by him. He hustled all night though. BC's catcher over threw first on one occasion and also second base. I know it is the first game so I hope it all will come together quickly. I think BC is better than they looked tonight.

Sounds like Biggio needs a better agent.

actually he said all boys at the MS and Freshman level will play because it is a developmental stage and they need to find out who can and can't on the field at those ages. love the attitude! He also wants ALL the middle school athletic periods to be first period so the varsity coaches can be at the middle school practices every morning. Not a bad idea. Faircloth seems to be on top of everything. That way the varsity coaches can get a first hand look at the kids that will be the future for PNG. Oh. About the puking thing. When I played one practice we had in hot August I began to feel like throwing up. I told my coach that and he yelled at me "get over there and throw up then get back in line". That is just coaches talking.
