Great game. Zoch must have had a good game to leave with the score tied in the 7th. Both teams are very good. Congratulations Bobcats on going undefeated in district. You deserve to be the champions. Good luck to both the Bobcats and the Cardinals in the play-offs. May you both go far and represent this district well.

I just checked the schedules. West Brook is playing Galena Park North Shore on October 15Th at Galena Park's stadium. Central is playing Nederland on October 15Th in Beaumont at 7:30. PNG is playing Ozen in Beaumont on October 16, Saturday, at 3:00 PM. Why at that time? There is no evening game that day. Is something else going on in the stadium that night?

Sounds like Orangefield is the team to beat. They were good last year and almost everyone returned so they are playing like a team should. Good luck OF.

Is PNG going to do spring training this year? And are any other teams doing spring training?

I don't know if Danny Malone is still in the running for the head coach & AD at Hamphire Fanette or not but if they want to turn around their program he is probably one of the best to do it. There was a lot of controversy with him at PNG back in the 90's. Mainly because he weeded out the non achievers. Parents were in an uproar over him. But look at the results. He turned around the program and I believe PNG won district his last year at PNG. Les Johnson did the same thing at Bridge City. And the same results from parents and teachers at Bridge City occured as at PNG. Sometimes it takes a tough, no noncense, coach to get things going the right way again. If he does get the job I hope the parents and teachers will let him do his job. He will get good results.

Naw. I disagree Venom. I don't think they will beat WOS but I don't know about Silsbee only because I don't know what Silsbee has comming back. I know the QB graduated and he was the best last year in the district. This should be the best team that Stump has had since he became head coach. It could be a more competive district for 2nd next year. JMO

From KOGT         West Orange-Stark Coach Dan Hooks always has a tough time getting people to play him in the pre-district schedule.  That has gotten tougher as LCM has said they won’t schedule WOS or Bridge City for the next two years as Coach Randy Crouch looks to shake up his schedule with some new opponents [quote name="Cat22" post="733033" timestamp="1261229591"] I'm hearing that LCM may schedule an Orange County team!   ;) [/quote] They play Vidor in district so that would only leave Orangefield. I think Dewyville is in Newton county.

I would like to see Bridge City play Liberty, (they match up pretty well with them), Vidor, LCM, Newton, and Cleveland. I know the competition would be real tough for BC but I think it would make BC tougher by district time. If they matched up with stronger schools it may make them tougher each year that they play so that in time they may compete well with these caliber schools.

Great game PNG. Great season. 11-1 isn't bad. Final 27-21 after being behind by 20 at the half. Great job INDIANS. You will back next year and do even better.
