1. Each team can pick whatever stadium they want to designate as their home stadium. Nederland could have picked Provost Humphrey as their home stadium and had they won the toss the game would have been played in Beaumont and Nederland would have been the home team.

A few blown calls, probably on both teams, but that always happens. I do have one question. I thought that defensive holding was an automatic first down. On one particular play BC threw an incomplete pass. I think the down was either 2nd or 3rd and 11 yards were needed for a first down. The refs called a densive holding. They penalized WOS 10 yards and the down remained the same and the yardage needed for a first was 1 yard. I thought it should have been first and ten after the 10 yard penalty. The BC coaches did not complain about the call so it must have been right. Just wondering.
the ball was 1, yard behind the line of scrimmage when the call ( horrible call) was made, hence it not being a first down.10 yards plus negative original yardage does not equal a first down. By the way, both of the defensive holding calls were horrible. Wos would pick the ball off, and all of a sudden, a penalty. I can understand charity, but really?? And yes, the officiating was terrible.
I did not think it mattered where the defensive holding was called. I thought defensive holding was an automatic first down. But I guess not.
uh, actually, I think bc only made it past the 50 one time, and that was on the interception return.
Actually BC did have one drive from the BC 20 to the WOS 20 just before half

 14. I only met coach Barbay once. I was with a friend in coach's office along with his assistant coaches when they played for the state championship in 2005 I think. He was a good man and an excellent coach. He was going to retire at the end of this year or next. He earned a long retirement but did not get it. He did so much for Newton HS and the community. He will be missed. It just wont seem the same without him being the leader of the Eagles.  I feel so sorry for him and his family. My prayers are with them.
 15. He played on the '93 BC team and before. He graduated in 1994 I believe. I thought he would be in the big time. He played on my son's pee wee football team when he was 7 or 8, I believe, and he attempted xtra points when they scored. He made one the year I remember. He was a good kid and I am proud of him as an NFL player.
 16. Bridge obviously had the better team out there tonight. However, BC never seemed to get fired up. The score could have been much higher if BC had played like they did against Kirbyville. No I am not saying that BC should have run the score up. I guess after a game like last week it was hard to be up for a team that they did not have to try hard to beat. I am glad that next week will be an open date. BC needs to heal up and take a rest and come back fired up and ready to play football. Go Cardinals.
 17. The final score was BC 36 stafford 0. The kid that got arrested was also fighting with the coaches that got him off of the field. He was held a long time on the side line by a couple of coaches and he was still trying to get away. Finally two cops came and took control of the situation.
 18. I have cardiac arrhymathia with an ICD, internal cardiac defibrillator, implant. I have had cardiac arrest two times. If Reggie indeed did have a cardiac arrhymathia and his heart went into cardiac arrest I would think that the parametics could have revived him with a difibrillator assuming that the ambulance has one and I think they do. I don't know if this is what happened or not as I don't pretend to know all there is about arrhymathias. RIP Reggie.
 19. It doesn't sound like Andrew Lack left Nederland for athlectic purposes. It sounds like he left because he was disgruntled with the coaches decision or something else related to the decision the coaches made. I don't know how the vote will go. He has to live in the PNG school district to go there to my understanding. That may be the reason he chose PNG to transfer to instead of another school, ex...a relative's address.

 21. I never know what to say in a time like this. What can one say that can comfort the situation. It is such a tragic to loose a son, team mate, friend, at such an early age. God has his reasons but we cannot understand them. We just trust in God and believe that our loved one is now with him. I pray for Reggie, his family, and team mates that they can somehow accept this and know that God always has a plan. May God have mercey on his sole, may God bless his sole, and may his sole rest in peace. I hope there is counceling at the school on Monday and that the kids can cope with this situation and that the team can again come together. Keep up the good faith guys.
