It sounded like Bridge City and Lumberton played a pretty even scrimmage last Friday. Last year BC ran the ball more than passed. It sounded like they threw the ball more in the scrimmage than they did last year in regular play. Last year's passing game for BC was  mediocre at best in my opinion.  Does anybody think they will run more in the next scrimmage? The passing sounded like it was pretty good in the Lumberton scrimmage. Will BC run more than pass or pass more than run this year. With Menard so good at running I would think they will be more of a running team.

I know most peoply say that first place is already decided, and maybe it is. Wos is still the team to beat until someone beats them. Make an intelligent prediction and please respect the other teams.

Hey, these are high school kids. Any ball that is hit out of the ball park is not luck IMO. But any game whether it be in college, pros, or high school has some luck in it. A bad hop, dribbler, error in a crucial situation, etc... Brenham has a very good ball club and are deserving of their #1 ranking. PNG also has a very good ball club. Either team is capable of winning the next game. I'll call it a toss up. Good luck to both teams. I live close in a neighboring town of PNG so especially good luck to the INDIANS.

I don't knnow who EC will hire. There are certainilly good candidates that applied. I believe coach Foreman would want the job to get head coaching experience and for him hopefully get offered the WOS head coaching job 5 or so years down the road when or if coach Thompson leaves WOS. EC is a good school district with a good winning record in football. It would be a great job for coach Foreman. Aslo coach Huchaby is a great coach. I am not sure why he put in for the job being that it is a smaller school. Perhaps he is looking for a raise. Can't blame him there. Maybe Orangefield will up his salary a little if he stays.

The only reason I can think of as to why Price put in for the HC/AD job at Galveston Ball is because it is a much larger district and is bound to pay a lot more money than HF does. No offense to HF. JMO. I am a little suprised that Toby Foreman did not put in for it. I guess it is because he was a finalist for the WOS job which I am sure he wanted.

That sounds like a cocky little person to say something like that. I bet that 80 year old man could have taken him if he really wanted to.

I am so very sorry to hear the news about Ethan. May God bless his soul and help the family cope with the events that happened. God bless all of Ethan's family also.

The lake is known as a recreation lake for the city of Houston. However, there a some large bass caught out of the lake every year, you just have to know where to fish for them. Mostly under docks because the lake has been stocked with carp twice that I know of and they eat up all the grass, hydrilla, and just about all other vegitation.

This will be a good game by two quality teams.

Neither teams fans should be boasting about "why we won" or "why we lost". It sounded like a good game, I wasn't there. I am sure the umps did the best they were capable of. I really don't think any ump would purposely make a bad call. I know bad calls are made sometimes but I think they are just missed calls. And, hey, that is just baseball. It even happens sometimes in the pros. Rarely though, I think. The next game is going to be played in Bridge City. I plan on being there and I hope to see the two best teams in the district play another close game. Good luck to both teams.

Wasn't coach Thompson and coach Foreman a head coach at other schools? If so how did they do? Just wondering.
