  1. Texarkana wins two games at #6 Navarro by 5-2 and 10-7. Trey Hester came out with the score tied 4-4 but ate up 5 innings in the 9 inning 10-7 win. Next up for TC is top ten ranked Grayson this Saturday. Ty Parker had a rbi double with a hbp and rbi walk.
  2. Texarkana loses two ( 1-3, 6-9 ) to Paris and goes  to 3-3 in conference.  TC had more hits in each game but did less with those hits. Ty Parker hits a 3 run homerun in the 9th to start a 5 run rally that ended with bases loaded and the tying run  at the plate. Next up is Navarro this Wednesday with Trey Hester getting the start in one of the games.
  3. Hester gets first win going 4 innings and throwing 59.7% strikes in less than ideal weather to get 1 of 4 TC wins this weekend in Temple. Trae gave up 4 hits, 4 so, in 4 innings in upper thirty temps. Game two that day was played in intermittent snow and sleet as Texarkana came out with a 4 game sweep. TC is 7-2 for the season.
  4. Texarkana wins both of the 7 inning games 8-4, and 9-5. TC got their bats going and played pretty good defense except for a few errors.
  5. Congrats to the players, coaches, fans and parents to the young men for their next step in their post high school careers. Great to see Jasper back on the map with football signings and post season play. Go Dogs.
  6. TC wins one and ties the second game at Air Hog Park in Grand Prairie. TC finishes up fall ball healthy and got a lot of pitchers some time on the mound. Although young TC should do well in the spring.   TC finished up fall practice with a Pro Day with a good many pro scouts showing up for the workouts and intersquad game. it was a good day and a good finish to the fall season, waiting on spring.
  7. Texarkana College plays in their last fall tournament in Grand Prairie at Air Hog Park Friday at 12 and 3:30. In last game against BPCC Trey Hester pitched well and Ty Parker (2/3 ) did well in first game back from an overswing concussion. TC won game one 6-0 and lost game two. TC palys McLennon County at 12 and NCCC at 3:30 this Friday.
  8. Ty Parker will be playing in the 11th annual Fudrucker's Texas /New Mexico Juco All Star Game in Waco. Three other Texarkana players, Caleb Hawkins-P, Justin Copeland-OF, Trent Smith-OF/1B, will join Coach Steve Trout at Baylor's Getterman Field for the games on Sept 30 and Oct 1. As a freshman Parker hit .350,16 doubles, and 55 rbi with 1 Hr.  Players are chosen from both Texas and New Mexico's juco programs.                              
  9. Navarro defeats Central  Arizona 6-4 for the NJCAA D1 World Series Championship. Glad to have a team in your own conference represent so well. Congrats to Justin Parson for making All Conference Pitcher and signing with Southern Arkansas.
  10. TC finishes up in second place in conference behind Navarro. Navarro wins Region 14 Tournament and goes on to the NJCAA World Series in Colorado. Texarkana won against Panola and lost to Alvin and Blinn in the tournament. Glad to see a Region 14 East team win that only beat us by two one run games during conference.  Son had a good year hitting near .350 and had well over a hundred at bats during the spring. Can't wait till fall ball gets here.
  11. TC comes in second place with Navarro in first. Tournament at Blinn for Region 14 championship this weekend starting Saturday. TC to play Alvin and San Jac Sat and Sun.   12. TC splits with Bossier Parrish yesterday and wins a rained out game with Paris today 10-2.
