I for one was a little suprised in how bad the bond lost. I do not know all the particulars of the bond, just what I have read here on the site. But, I never thought that BISD could pass a bond so big and NISD couldn't get their's passed. The only particular that caused me some concern was the 1.7 million dollar pressbox. That seemed out of kilter even though as a broadcaster, I did agree that Nederland's pressbox needed to be upgraded, but I'm not sure it needed 1.7 million in upgrades. Looks as though somebody really dropped the ball in the presentation.

It's my understanding that KJAS is doing that game. Hey Mark, if you can find out what games Gary is going to do, I would appreciate that info also.

I want to get back to broadcasting some games. I need to get any info on games being played this coming week. District play-ins or Bi-District. Thanks for the info.

Where at? I know there are some packs of hogs around the Mid-County area. One group of them is living not too far from downtown Port Neches. I live just outside of Silsbee, off of FM 418, on Brookwood Dr. At the end of our road is a pretty big thicket of woods that lead down to Village Creek. We had fourwheeler trails back there but Rita and Ike kind of took care of them. Now it looks like hog heaven.

I believe we are need of some hog hunters in my neighborhood. My 9 year old black lab was cut up pretty badly by a hog yesterday. He needed over 100 stitches and/or staples to close his wounds up. I had been hearing my dog and the neighbor's two dogs out in the woods the last few days chasing and barking at something. After yesterday, I now know what they were chasing.

I saw Bird and Jordan at the Summit, caught Magic in Denver while I was up there skiing.

Probably couldn't get a rental in Lumberton. People are nervous there already. After threatening to tear down the town (which they could not do), they didn't make a lot of friends in Lumberton. I think they will be safer in Silsbee until they make them mad. We don't want them either. Let'em meet at the Court House in Kountze.

I am looking forward to Silsbee/Lumberton. Renew that Village Creek rivalry.

Only when DV makes false statements or comments that do not tell the whole story, very misleading if a person didn't know better. Kind of like that Baytown Sun story you just posted. All we need now is for the late Paul Harvey to say, "Now, the rest of the story".

I believe you are the only one I know that calls the regional tourney the regional finals and the state tourney the state finals. I have been going to the state tourney since 1972, 38 straight years, and I have only known and heard the state tourney be called the STATE TOURNAMENT!
