  1. I am going to have to go along with Nos on this one DV. Sorry. West Brook is a football first school, always has been, always will be, regardless who is coaching there. Now, if they were to start winning regional and state championships there, you probably would see a change in how the admin do things around there. But until then, things will remain the same. Also, even though I think that Boutte is a great coach, I am not so sure he could change things at West Brook that Chris and Charles could not do. I agree with Nos, Ozen was setup to succeed. There were no ashes to rise up from.
  2. 1982, DV. Hebert won 3 titles, '80,'81,'82.
  3. Correct. Travis saw the writing on the wall and chose to pull out. Ozen is a great job, one that Travis would love to have, but BISD handled this very poorly and unprofessional and that rubbed Travis the wrong way.
  4. Silsbee is the better job. (boy, that sounded kind of homerish) ;D
  5. Uh Chad, I didn't apply for that job. ;D

  7. The fact of the matter is I believe nobody in Lumberton, particularly the Lumberton Police dept., even cares or wants to have Q give them an apology. Everyone knows it wouldn't be sincere.
  8. I agree DV. Very sad any of this went down this way.
  9. Quannel X will question whether a white doctor or a black doctor performed the autopsy. :

  12. I agree with admin. Griff and Stone are as solid as they come. Nederland has one of the best 1-2 punches around in Bellow and Dean and Vidor is always a tough out - they beat the Bears. Overall Aggies I do believe our baseball teams have more success than football. That does not make it the #1 sport in the area. It may be the most successful sport, and that's subject for debate, but as far as popular, football is KING around here and anywhere in the state of Texas. I guess it's all about what one thinks is the criteria of being a #1 sport.
  13. C'mon admin, you got to be kidding me.
  14. Over 2 months now. : They are still waiting on Robert Hughes to come out of retirement and apply.
  15. This game will be broadcast right here at SETXsports!!!
  16. What about Trey Franks :D Trey is going as the 100 meter regional champ and also on the regional champion 4x100 and 4x200 relay teams. He has a great shot at 3 golds. As for his field events, he placed third in the long jump and failed to mark in the triple.
  17. Silsbee senior Chastity Foster and junior Jeremy Johnson leaped their way to Austin this weekend at the regional meet. Foster is headed back Austin to try and defend her state titles in the long jump and triple jump. She won the regional with leaps of '18 "6.25 in the long and '39 "1.75 in the triple. Her best leaps this year are '19 "1 in the long and '40 "6.25 in the triple. Chastity will be the favorite to win both state titles. Jeremy won the regional championship in the long jump with a leap of '23 "10 which outdistanced the second place jumper by over "14 inches. His leap was a foot longer than his jump in district. His regional jump is the longest of all the state qualifiers headed to Austin in class 3A. Johnson looks to be the favorite to capture his first state title. Jeremy has a '24 foot jump in him, let's hope it's waiting to happen in Austin. Good luck to these Tiger leapers!!!!
  18. Isn't this a return game for the 2 for 1 deal?
  19. Now, see how easy that was DV. You actually made an intelligent post without calling someone or an entire area racist. I knew you had it in you.
  20. The best thing Bobcatfan4life has going is his good taste for schools. ;D Great job, fellow Aggie backer!!! I knew you were a great guy before I met you, but after meeting you and finding out you love the Aggies, your stock soared to new heights!
