MMSLB, I gather that AJ25 has some personal animosity towards Sherman. I am guessing it has something to do with A&M spurning a certain Lumberton player.

You're kidding, right? Are you trying to say that they only play the games just to entertain fans? Give me a break. : The game is for the kids and coaches. They would play them without fans, trust me. Having fans attend the games is just icing on the cake. You can have cake with no icing, it's just not as sweet. But, the cake is the important ingredient, not the icing. Of course unless you are a 5 year old. :

Fans are not that important to the success of the team. A team will win or lose with or without fans. Don't get me wrong, teams love having the fans attend the games, but they don't win the games for them. That is what I mean by "not that important". : To quote DickyV, "You people"! :

If I know the coaching staff at WOS, they will put the best athletes on the field at all times. I was just suprised at the comment made by Thompson. Having Haynes sit on the sidelines is not something that is done at WOS. I agree with Coop, he will play offense.

I think Haynes can be a good Div. I player. Colleges love his great athletic ability which they all believe can be molded into a fine college football player. Oh, and the jury is still out on Sherman turning around the Aggies. These next two years will tell the tale.

I find this to be very interesting: As a junior, he was a first-team all-District 21-3A wide receiver and second-team defensive back. He will only play in the defensive backfield this season, WO-S defensive coordinator Cornell Thompson said. I would have thought Toby would insist on him playing offense too.

I guess with Jeremy Johnson having verbally committed already, he isn't considered heavily recruited. : According to the same recruiting site, he has over 11 offers. [Hidden Content] Haynes is a great athlete along with being a top student, he is well deserving of this attention. I hope he chooses Aggieland. ;D

Michael Arnaud shot a -5 67 in the third round of this week's Nationwide tourney in Virginia. He currently sits tied for 11th with a total of 208, -8, after three rounds. Last week's 3rd place finisher at the 42nd Annual Silsbee MGA Invitational, had 1 eagle, 7 birdies, and 4 bogeys in his 5 under par round. Arnaud will look to get his second top 10 in a Nationwide event this year. Here is the leaderboard after three rounds: [Hidden Content]

Ole Spinks shot a third round 75, +4 to finish tied for 33rd after three rounds with a total score of 222, +9. Chris will tee off at 8:30 off of #10 for the final round. The leader after the third round is Bronson Burgoon, member of this year's national champion Texas A&M golf team. Bronson shot a third round -6 65 to vault his way to the top of the leader board. His three round total of 206, -7, leads by 2.

What about a larger visitors stands? The current ones are on average of a 2A school, not 4A.
