1. HJ wins this one, 66-59. Something tells me that WOS won't play as well this time. ;)
 2. Woodville has a first round bye. They will not know their exact opponent until after Tuesday night. The runner up in 23-2A plays the 3rd place of 24-2A. Woodville gets the winner of that game in the second round.

 4.
Actually Labradford Smith graduated from Bay city in 1987...Not bad.Dropped 39 on M. Jordan one night in the league. The next time they met, Jordan had 35 at the half, and went on to blow em out. L. Smith could fly, but had a short stint in the league with Washington.
That's correct. LaBradford graduated in '87. He was a junior when McArthur was a senior.
Now I remember,  I was at that game.  It wiill be a game I never forget for reasons outside of basketball. I was only 13.  I don't even remember where the game was played,  I can remember watching it though.
Game was played at Sam Houston, right in Huntsville's backyard.

 11.
I would have to say the Lincoln-Bay City game in 1989 Regional Finals. Tip off BJ Tyler Dunk, LaBradford Smith right back down for a dunk. That set the tone for a good game between hated rivals.....We won the game and state.
bee85, I believe you are off a few years. Smith of Bay City graduated in '86. Bay City defeated a Silsbee led Darryl McArthur team that year in the regional semis then lost to Lincoln, who was led by Georgetown bound Anthony Allen, in the regional finals. Bay City defeated Silsbee in the regional finals in '85 and the regional semis in '84. Three straight years Silsbee lost to Bay City in the playoffs.

 20. Scoring for both teams: Silsbee Prentice Lane      26 (15 in the second half) D.C. Stallworth    15 (6 rebounds, 7 assists) Kendrick Jones      10 (13 rebounds, 3 blocks) Kelton Gaines        8 Avory Thomas        6 (10 rebounds, 4 blocks) Xavior Harris          2 Orangefield Zach Hayes          12 Bryden Smith          10 Garrett Granger      9 Dylan Cole              7 Christian Hollan        6 Derrick Evans          5 Score by quarters                               1      2      3      4      tot Silsbee                    16    14    19    18      67 Orangefield              7      16    12    14      49 Foul shooting Silsbee  14/20    70% OF        8/10    80% 3 point shooting Silsbee    1/7      14% OF        7/22    31% Turnovers Silsbee      15 OF            16 Rebounds Silsbee        40 OF              26 Silsbee jumped out to a 14-2 lead in the first getting 6 points apiece from Lane and Stallworth as the Tigers defense forced Orangefield into tough shots and the Tigers were able to clean the boards limiting the Bobcats on the offensive end. Orangefield finally hit a 3 and closed the 1st quarter, trailing 16-7. In the second quarter, Silsbee and Orangefield basically traded baskets the whole quarter as neither team could get on any kind of big run. Silsbee did get a 10 point lead at 30-20 but Orangefield's Granger hit a 3 to end the quarter with Silsbee leading 30-23. The Tigers were led by Lane's 11 and Stallworth's 7 points while the Bobcats were led in the first half by Cole's 7 and Hollan's 6. The start of the 3rd saw Orangefield cut the Tiger lead to the closest of the night at 4, 30-26. But then the Tigers got on a roll. Silsbee went on a 13-2 run, pushing their lead to 15 at 43-28. Lane continued his scoring while Silsbee senior post Jones got it going , getting 6 points in the quarter. Tigers led after 3, 49-35. In the 4th, Silsbee actually stretched their lead to as many as 20 on two different occasions, 60-40 and 67-47. Silsbee coasted to their 17th straight win, finishing it off by winning by 18, 67-49. Prentice Lane again was the man tonight for the Tigers as he led them with 26 points. Lane has definitely mastered the tear drop shot as he floated through the lane with ease in collecting the majority of his points. Stallworth had a solid night with 15 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists. Jones continues to be a monster on the boards for Silsbee as he collected 13 rebounds to go along with his 10 points. Thomas also got his share of rebounds as he grabbed 10 while scoring 6 points and getting 4 block shots. That runs his season total to 160, which leaves him 2 shy of the school record. Orangefield again lived and died by their outside shooting, attempting 22 three's, hitting 7. The Bobcats only went to the foul line 10 times but that was due to their taking outside shots 80% of the time, instead of working it inside against Silsbee's trees. Orangefield never let this game really get away from them, but Silsbee was in control of this game from start to finish. Another good, solid win for Silsbee wo move the record to 25-2, 8-0 in district. One more win clinches at least a share of the district title.
 21. Two-Dogs..., I am sorry, but I have to disqualify you from these pickem's since you went back and edited your picks after the games had been final. Some folks just can't be trusted. ::)
