Next season we may consider putting 2A with one A and having 3A by itself.
Why not 5A-4A, 3A-2A and 1A-Private?
We only have 8 1A teams and 2 local private teams. It would be a poll of all 10. I guess that would be a way for Evadale to be #1 though in a poll that includes a couple of winless teams. ::)

From RCS Sports, per Jim Hicks: Just when I thought this would be a thin week of news, it truckload of dirt hits the ground. Where do I start first??? With all the drama surrounding Lutheran North and the influx of transfers being declared ineligible, the grease hit the skillet on yesterday when head coach Walter Yates Jr was terminated. Yep, I said the same thing, WOW! Walt and his wife were married a couple months ago, and are expecting their first child together. I have spoken with Walt Jr, and I wish to honor his family's request for privacy at this time. Since I have a pre existing relationship with the family (meaning, I knew them before RCS Sports came into existence), I will do my best to oblige. But before rumors get out of hand, I will share a couple of facts. Lawsuit has been filed on behalf of the kids who have been deemed ineligible, and the school discovered that Walt Jr's name was included in the lawsuit. Come to find out, Walt had no idea his name was in that lawsuit. This is a serious legal matter in which Lutheran North administration had no choice but to severe ties with their coach. Also, Lutheran North's non district schedule has been scrapped. So if you have a scheduled non district game against them, you might want to verify with the administration.
Week1 only has one post, how credible is he?
That's why I wanted confirmation. He registers today to only make this announcement. Now he has left.

When grades came out 3 weeks ago, Silsbee lost several on the freshman team. Also a few were lost on the JV and coupled with some JV'ers being moved up, Silsbee has combined the two teams the last 2 weeks for a JV team. Silsbee 9th played WOS 9th because grades came out on Friday, the game was the day before.

I want confirmation, please. Link to a story or something of that nature. An announcement other than this one here on this messageboard.

HARDIN @ BUNA.. FOR A PLAYOFF SPOT.... WHO WINS?
AggiesAreWe replied to HORNETS_FAN's topic in SETXsports Archived Threads
Buna's ground game, ball control offense will keep Hardin's offense on the sideline and the Cougars should churn out a victory. If Buna can keep from turning it over, they win this one and clinch a playoff spot. Hardin 20 Buna 28 -
I wonder if that's suppose to be Buda and not Buna?
Do we know if/ when 3A and 4A will vote on this?? Thought 3A was already suppose to have done so???
I hope 3A votes it down. This is a terrible idea. With the way the economy is and how school districts have to really pinch pennies these days, they don't need extra costs on travel expenses. Some school districts are having it tough already with the schedules they have. -
He may be the coaches son, but he is also the coaches wife's son. ;) It'll be interesting to see if he plays. The Silsbee defense did put a beating on Corey like no other team has done so far. They made sure he paid every time he came outside on those keepers. That last hit by our stud linebacker Bolton was a slobber knocker. Corey never saw the field after that play. I hope he is alright and can finish out his senior year, with the possibility of going to the playoffs.

I noticed on Sabine's schedule that they are playing the HJ tourney on Dec. 3-5. They should get 1st place since the tourney is on Dec. 10-12. ;) ;D Sabine has a game scheduled with Rusk on the 11th. Look for Sabine to back out of HJ tourney using the schedule conflict excuse.(probably claim they were told the wrong date ;)) -
