1. This should be a good one. I am anxious to see if the football players for Silsbee got their legs under them just yet. They have had only 2 practices with the team. Also want to see if Jeremy plays in this game. He did not play last night due to the turf toe injury he has from football. I'll give Kountze the edge right now.
 2. SFA looks pretty descent. They lost last night to Texas Tech, 63-61, a team that blew out Lamar.
 3.
That's more like it.
What do you mean, "That's more like it"? You got something against Silsbee? None of those two previous scores were believable? You a closet Navasota fan? ;D
 4.
Is this the score the the girls Nov 24th, 2009?
After getting two incorrect texts on this game, I finally got the right score. Navasota  58 Silsbee    23
 5. Navasota  58 Silsbee     43
 6. I will not be able to make this game. Will someone please give updates?
 7.
who is injured for Silsbee tonight and will they be ready for Kountze come friday?
Was told that JJ has turf toe and Prentice and Pheal are nursing some tweaks from last Friday night's playoff game. These guys may not see the court till Friday night.
 8. I will not be at the Fred Williams Classic. I will be broadcasting the East Chambers/Dangerfield playoff game Friday night for the site.
 9.
What time does Varsity play?
Was told 7pm.
 10.

I was curious about that match up too. I would have thought it would have been better for Memorial to play Central and HJ to play Anahuac. I really wish that my Silsbee Tigers would have been short handed for their game with Kountze, but now that football is over for them, Silsbee should have all their players available for this game. I say "should" because a couple of Silsbee players sustained some injuries last night that they may need to recover from before they hit the court.
If the Tigers were to be short-handed for their game with Kountze, that would mean that Silsbee would still be in the football playoffs. 6 of Silsbee's basketball players, 2 of which are starters, play football. AAW, why do you wish that Silsbee would be short-handed for the game against Kountze? Maybe I'm confused.
11. I saw pics of EC's new gym, VERY SWEET!!! Can't wait to do a game from there.
 12. Oh, and yes, we will still run out of the spread.
 13. I was told that they will be looking at both of these players. If I had to give one an edge, it would be McDaniel. Maybe it's because I like Lane as a reciever so much.
 14. I think that was the very first time that I have attended a basketball game where one of the teams had ZERO fans. Zilch, nada, big goose egg. I would have thought at least 4 or 5 Cleveland folks would have shown, but never expected for them to have ZERO fans at any game.
 15.
Prentice Lane?
Yes, Prentice Lane, the districts leading reciever may be the QB next year for Silsbee. We will see.
 16.
I assume McDaniel will get the first crack at qb. Will we still work primarily out of the shotgun set?
It will be a battle at the QB spot between McDaniel and Lane. McDaniel is the better runner, Lane the better passer. It will be interesting to see who wins the spot.
 17.
Spurger won't see another club like this once district gets here. This will help them get ready for the long haul.I was afraid depth may be a problem for the pirates. It's a crying shame to have a club as good as Cleveland and have zero fan base.
I beg to differ, whsalum. I say Spurger will face a better team than Cleveland on Jan. 12, game before district starts. That's when the Silsbee Tigers will come to town to play the Pirates. ;) ;D
 18. Spurger just had no answer to Ced Reed, the '6"6 260 lb post. Reed with 34 points and 15 rebounds was the catalyst while Ross hit 3 three pointers late in the 3rd quarter to break the game open. IMO, Spurger wasn't agressive enough against the press. Also, it doesn't help when one team plays 9 players compared to just 5. Spurger has a very good starting 5 but they have zero depth. As for Cleveland, their starting 5 are very good but their bench is nothing to brag about. Talent falls off pretty quickly from their starters to their reserves.
 19.
Congrats to all the players!  But a special congratulations to all the Tigers on this list! I cant wait until next year!  The Tigers have a bunch of 1st and 2nd team district picks returning.
Silsbee has 16 starters returning with 13 of those being All-District picks, 7 on 1st team, 6 on 2nd team.
