Silsbee could play with those guys, probably beat them. You'll see much closer games when Yates takes on the better teams in tournament play. Of course, when I mean closer games, I mean Yates will only win by 30, not 80. ;D

The #15 ranked Silsbee Tigers will host perennial 4A power Beaumont Ozen in a non district game at the Tiger Den in Silsbee tonight. The Tigers come in with a 2-1 record while Ozen sports a 2-3 record. This should be a classic matchup between two of the top basketball programs in Southeast Texas. Due to subvarsity games being played prior to this game, the broadcast time will be approximate, somewhere around 7:30pm. Looks as though I won't be coming up to Huntington Friday. If Silsbee wins both their games Thursday (they should, play Legacy and Woodville) then the Tigers play at 1pm Friday, not 4pm, like I thought. I still may come up early that morning to check out Crockett who should be playing the first game that morning at 8am. But I will need to leave by 11am to get to Big Sandy in time to broadcast Silsbee's 1pm game.
