1.
Congrats great list: 7 Bobcats 5 Mustangs 5 Bears 4 Pirates 4 Cardinals
What, no Deweyville Pirates??  ;) ;D
 2.

I somewhat agree. BUT, according to SOME of the WOS fans, they were gonna be state champs last year. ;)
AAW, don't you really mean ONE of the WO-S fans?  These consistent jabs at you-know-who are too obvious.
Actually, you are mostly right but I said "some" because there were a couple of others who were on "you-know-who's" bandwagon too. Of course, the sensible one's like you, kicker, Grad, Gas, WOS-89 and others know better.
 3. Braxton Mayes of Anahuac should have gotten the West Offensive MVP. He scored both TD's along with making 3 other catches. The most productive offensive player all night for both teams.
 4.
that game was pretty boring to me.  the only good plays were the first and the last.  i hope next year more schools get into this. the newton quarterback...wow thats all im saying.  he had great pocket awareness and had a cannon for an arm and he could scramble.  for a few plays newton had the qb and rb in the game.  im assuming this would be newtons starting players.  #24 from silsbee,  imo.  the kid can do anything!  he was getting maaaaad when he wasnt running outside.  his family was sitting below us and they were even mad that they had him in every spot on the field slot, wr and back but kept on saying the WRs werent blocking.  congrats to all the kids who played in the game.  i hope this game helps you out in the future.  thanks for the entertainment tonight and the spicy chicken sandwich!
#24 was from Central, not Silsbee. Unless you are talking about #22, then that would be Chris Barnes of Silsbee.
 5. Back to back for both teams!!!! Congrats Aggies!!!
 6.

I say the South. I am with the South no matter what!! ;D
LOL! Glad to see you are feeling better, bud!
Well, I just can't seem to bring myself to pull for the same team as Kerry. I hope it ends in a tie. ;D

 8. [Hidden Content] Local pro Chris Stroud will tee off next Thursday off #1 at 12:41 (2:41 our time) and on Friday off #10 at 7:11 am ( 9:11 am our time)
 9. Congrats to the Stangs for their pre-season top 10 ranking. BTW, this was last years DCTF 3A preseason rankings: 3A 1- Gilmer 2- Carthage 3- WO Stark 4- Celina 5- Wimberly 6- Giddings 7- Bellville 8- Abilene Wylie 9- Cuero 10- China Spring 11- Prosper 12- Liberty-Eylau 13- Liberty Hill 14- Paris 15- Rockdale 16- Van 17- Cleveland 18- Bandera 19- Mexia 20- Graham 21- Bridgeport 22- Monahans 23- Navasota 24- Texarkana Pleasant Grove 25- Waco La Vega At least they got the top two right, huh Coop. ;) ;D (although DCTF did predict a WO-S DII state title last year) ;) After saying that, I hope the Mustangs get that DII state title this year.
 10. I want to thank everyone for their thoughts, well wishes, comments and prayers. It is greatly appreciated and very uplifting. I had a pretty good scare Tuesday afternoon with chest pains, dizziness, and well, symptoms of having a heart attack. After spending these last 3 days in the hospital (still here too), and countless and countless of tests run, it has been determined that I have no heart damage so therefore no heart attack. Lisa and I are very grateful for this result. Heart disease runs rampant in my dad's side of the family and I just knew I was the next victim of it. However, after getting all these tests results, it has been determined that I do have some health issues. I am now diabetic and also will be on cholesterol meds. So I have some life adjustments to make like diet and excercise. Looks like my sweet tooth will be very affected and so long to fried foods. Plus, I need to lose weight ( no surprise there, lol). It looks like I'll be home Friday, got my fingers crossed. Again, I am very grateful to all who send the well wishes and continue to look out for me still. I very much appreciate it. Hopefully I'll be back on here very soon. Thanks again guys! Mike

 13. Good morning everyone. This is Lisa again. Mike had a better night. He feels tons better now that the nitroglycerin patch is history. The cardiologist had confirmed yesterday that he had not had a heart attack, so we were really relieved about that. So now we're waiting to find out what else might be going on. He just got back from part one of his stress test and will do the walking part after lunch. We will be waiting on two drs today; the cardiologist and internal medicine guy. Not sure if they'll order any more tests thinking he may have a herniated disk in his neck and not sure if we will be staying another night or not. He's up and around and his regular ornery self...maybe that's good or bad depending on which side of his karma you are on. Anyway, we'll be updating as we hear something. We were disappointed to hear Jasper lost last night and want to congratulate them on a great season. Best of luck to the Evadale Rebels today. Mike wanted me to say thanks once again for the well wishes, comments, thoughts and prayers.Smiles, Lisa

 16. This is Mike's wife, Lisa. All of Mike's lab work for heart attack have come back negative so far, which is good. We are waiting for the last round of blood work to come back. Sometimes it takes many hours for damage to show up. We're crossing our fingers that it'll still be negative. He has been having some symptoms the last few days, but felt really bad last night...enough to go to the ER. When Mike Sanchez asks for the hospital I know he needs it!! I'll keep you posted on what we find out tonight since it looks like we'll be staying another night. He is in room 304 at Baptist. Mike wants everyone to know how much he appreciates the well wishes, thoughts, and prayers. You can reach me via Facebook as Lisa Wiess Sanchez or through the forum. I'll check in often, per the boss man. Again thanks for checking in on us. It means a lot to Mike. Many thanks, Lisa

 19. Final Miami   10 A&M     3 Miami moves on to super regional against Florida.
 20.
Bennett named Coach of the year! [Hidden Content]
Why post the link to the teams again when it has already been posted and copied and pasted on this thread? ::)
 21. So that means that Barbers Hill will have a new AD/head football coach, a new head basketball coach and a new head baseball coach for this coming school year. Unbelievable!! What is the problem over at the Hill?
 22.
I am hearing that Jasper lost a lot of players. If that is true I am not too sure they will be a top 5 team. I also believe BC and Sislbee will be a toss up. I am not sure of what Silsbee has comming back but BC, I believe, will have a lot back from last and some good JV kids moving up. As for the rest I do not know. I am not saying that BC or Silsbee will be #1. I leave that to WOS but BC and Silsbee should be in the top five.
Silsbee has 16 returning starters (8 offensive, 8 defensive), 12 of which were 1st or 2nd team all district.
 23. tt (for those who can't see that this thread already exists) ;) ::)
 24.
None of the above. Evadale has the best chance of any local team to make it to Austin. Question is, why weren't they included in this poll?
Looks like my prediction of Evadale making it to Austin was accurate. ;) Now let's see if my prediction of Evadale advancing the farthest of any area school comes true.
