He had logical reasons why he didn't want to say that, in the end, were hard to argue with, but the bottom line is he was not staying if he didn't get the job. Period. I love Toby, he is as much Blue and Silver as Coach Thompson and I HATED to see him leave. The rule in high school basketball is if you are ejected from a game, you must sit out the next game. Not sure if the same rule applies with football.

Silsbee has only led at the half just twice this season (Waltrip and Newton), tied twice (Cleveland and Jasper) trailed twice (Lumberton and Orangefield) *note: The 2nd half of Waltrip game could have been worse, 2nd team came in middle of 3rd, finished the game)

As for PNG and Nederland, it's just shows intelligence that neither school as their homecoming with that game. It sells out anyways. Gives them an opportunity to sell the home side out for another game.

First of all neither schools really have a homecoming, but when they do play each other, it's considered the homecoming game for the home team. For high schools these days, the decision for when homecoming will be is based on the date on the calender, not who the opponent will be. The days of the high school coach determining who the opponent and when homecoming will be is long gone.
