My real and only pet peeve with officials is when sometimes they come to the scoring table at halftime and want to know what the foul count is for both teams. That raises all kinds of questions!! I have witnessed this myself several times and have been told by scorekeepers many times. No one can ever make me understand why it's necessary for an official to know what the foul count is at halftime of a game.

Have you guys noticed that every time A&M shoots the ball these lights flash and the goal moves? Talk about your home field advantage, sheeesh. BTW, Aggies playing without 9 of their starters tonight and the rest of the team has the flu. ;)

Guarentee that Kirbyville doesn't sweep. Ford will win offensive, either Alfred of Central or Garrett from West Brook will win defensive. Politically speaking, I am quite sure the committee will not allow 1 school to win both awards. ;)

But you are the only one that does it on a regular, daily, postly basis. ;) I predicted Silsbee to win by 14, thought they would be flat coming off the win over HJ. I believe HJ will be more than ready for WOS this Friday night and I really expect them to win by 15 or more. Apology accepted.

If Ford were to sign with Lamar, that would have the Cards getting the top two players (accolade wise) from this area the last two years. Johnson was a Willie Ray Smith winner along with being the SETXsports.com MVP and Super team MVP. Ford is this year's Super Team and SETXsports.com MVP and should win the Willie Ray Smith award. That's getting the best of the area.

He is the pulse of the WOS football program. That's where I got those numbers from. (actually, I had to adjust those numbers some, the one's he gave me were just too unrealistic, would have made me look foolish had I posted them) ;)

I HATE IT!! Most folks I have talked to hate it too. I know that Silsbee and WOS voted against it, the other schools in 21-3A voted for it. Either start the games at 4:30, or go back to how it used to be. There is no sense in having the boys varsity game start after 8pm. Two district games and Silsbee's start times for those varsity boys games have been 8:30 (HJ game) and 8:10 (WOS game). No prior sub varsity or varsity girls game went in OT in either of these games. RIDICULOUS!!! The other problem, only two schools in the district (HJ and Silsbee) have auxilary gyms that are adjacent to the main gym, which therefore fans are in the same building, making it much easier to see sub varsity games. All the other schools have to use gyms in other locations, with WOS actually having to bus their teams across town to the middle school for the sub-varsity games and then back to the high school for the varsity games. A coaching and administrative nightmare!! I really hope they go back to how it was the last few years and have all the boys games opposite of where the girls games are.
