I would like to know who Silsbee will be playing in the north shore tournament, plus I hope Silsbee gets to play Yates even if they lose it will help the tigers , it would some good to play national talent they are not afraid of the big boys anyway they did play Kimball and was only down by 3 at the half last year and Kimball beat Yates again to win the state title last year so you never know what could happen , heck I would like to see Silsbee play in the Nike invitation in Aldine.
North Shore tournament?? That is news to me. Which tourney is that one replacing out of the YMBL, Nederland and Sherman tournys?
 2. HJ won state just 6 seasons ago, '07.

 4.
WO-S is the only team that beat the 4a's!
That is not necessarily accurate, but I get your point. ;)
 5.
I picked Silsbee to go 8-2 in the regular season and roll 3 rounds deep in the playoffs. Without any major injuries, this is the year Silsbee beats Huffman and Navasota.
Silsbee will probably not have to worry about Navasota. Looks like Navasota will go DII.
 6.
Is that Kyle's son?
Yes.
 7.
I agree! I haven't had the chance to watch a game but with some of the speed I have seen on the highlights, Silsbee has some very good talent. With Garcia, Jackson, and Holmes holding on to the ball, Silsbee's ground game could get very dangerous. Also Seth Adams seems to be a beast up front! Is a junior as well? If he keeps that kind of play up he will be at the next level getting a free education.
Yes, Adams is a junior and a BEAST!!!! He will play at the next level. Also, might I add that right tackle Kannon Mackey is a junior and he will most definitely play at the next level. One of the best o-lineman we have had in quite some time. '6"4, 265lb and counting.
 8. Never heard of him.
 9.
Aggie inthini to add to that if the Tiger WR's can hold on to some of those dropped balls, they could have a WR over 1000yds. When is the last time a Tiger WR did that? Been a while since they had a back over. 1000 as well. Who was the last? Mark Farr?
Desmond Doss had over 1000 yards receiving in '04, Silsbee's first year as 3A. Desmond was district MVP. Last 1,000 yard rusher for Silsbee was Harper, played QB in '06 season. Jordan Holmes has the opportunity to have 1000 yards receiving this season. Just cannot have games like PNG and Lumberton. He already has 270 yards receiving. That's an average of 90 a game. That pace would put him around 1000 after 11 games.
 10.
I would like to see Silabee get Spearman to the outside of the tackles and let him work. I'm still thinking he can have a 1000yd season and Reed a 3000yd passing season. They have the weapons!
Reed has already amassed 1,000 total yards thru the first 3 games (370 rushing, 700 passing, 1070 total). That puts him on pace for regular season totals of 1200 rushing, 2300 passing, 3500 total offense. Then you have the playoffs. I don't think he gets 1000 yards rushing, but I do think he will pass for more than 2500 in the regular season. Great thing, he is only a junior!! I think by middle of district play Spearman will be churning out some very good rushing games.
 11.
Why is PAM being brought up in every single thread when we defeated the teams we played. Is it hating? Common opponents have nothing to do with how you guys would fare out against the Titans. Are we as good as we were last year probably not but there are somethings that this years Titans do well if not better than last years team.
Well, I have just checked 9 different threads. So far I haven't seen PAM brought up in any of those threads. You sure they are brought up in "every single thread"?
 12.

Navasota is loaded but aren't they D1 3A?
Depends. Taylor is the largest school in 18-3A. If they make the playoffs then Navasota will go D2.
My understanding this is a very likely scenario. Most expect Taylor to make playoffs therefore sending Navasota to DII.
 13.
I can't believe this is even a thread! U 3a guys are retarded!
I tend to agree. Overall, our local 4A's would beat our local 3A's, meaning the 4A teams cumulative record would be better than the 3A's.
 14.

What I know for certain: Tournaments YMBL Nederland Sherman Some non district games: Ozen Central Livingston Fred Williams Classic (probably West Brook or PAM) Couple of Houston ISD's  ;)
Another non district game is Big Ned traveling up to Silsbee. Not sure of the date, U?
I just learned of that game this past Friday. I believe it is a mid December game.

 16.
What happened to the RB Stallworth?  Haven't seen him in any stats.
Silsbee doesn't have a running back named Stallworth.
 17.
The kids tried, I'll have to give them that. Lamar was a very beatable team......very beatable. Its disappointing that WB doesn't seem to be any closer to finding an offense, than they were 3 weeks ago. Our secondary is still very suspect, but we seem to stop the run fairly well. If we can find a way to put points on the board, we should be ok. But, our offensive line doesn't block well enough to allow plays to develop. This offense works off of the run game. If the line doesn't give our RB's the ability to run, the passing game cant develop. Chavez is a game WB should win. But we have to be able to score points to do that.
Not last night they didn't. ;)                             Houston Lamar           Beaumont West Brook Total yards                        529                             178 First downs                          25                               10 Rushes/Yds                     50/296                     25/-20 Average rush                         5.92                             -0.8 Comp/Atts                               12/27/1                     12/33/3 Pass yards                                   233                               198 Comp pct                                 44.44                       36.36 Punts                                        2                               5 Punting Yards                         60                               204 Punting Average                           30                               40.8 Fumbles/Lost                         6/4                               0/0 Penalties-yards                       14-114                               6-40
