  1. No trouble. Silsbee opted to push back start date for students to allow their teachers to get better prepared for this school year (online and in person learning). Silsbee will add 20 minutes to each school day to make up for the later start without having to go extra days in June. Teachers still report for work on August 5 and will use the extra days to get their classrooms (actual and virtual) prepared for this unusual school year. School hours will now be 7:45am to 3:40pm.
  2. Let's get back on topic please. 10-4A DI
  3. In that case Nederland would still be needing a game for their week 2 (Oct. 2)
  4. That week 2 is the 6A/5A version of week 2 which would be Oct. 2. I believe HISD will be playing by then.
  5. Nederland updated schedule: WK 1 - at Huntsville (Sam Houston)‬ ‪WK 2 - vs Houston Austin ‬ ‪WK 3 - at Jacksonville ‬
  6. Also week 3 Lumberton vs. Silsbee could be a replacement game.
  7. I assume because site is large enough to social distance and it's not till March. I am very upset with the no tourney policy because I will miss all those great hospitality rooms!!
  8. UIL is allowing up to 27 non tournament games instead of 21. All the showcases are shut down as well.
  9. If 6A/5A schools start at same time and play a full schedule, shouldn't games they have scheduled with other 6A/5A schools still be played?
  10. Biggest change for this season is there will be no tournaments allowed to be played, including regional tournaments. Regional semifinals will be played 2 days prior to regional finals.
  11. A decision to not start in school learning to late October (which would mean no sports till November) would basically kill any possibility to play sports this fall.
  12. That too.
  13. It's my understanding that UIL is waiting on another governor announcement.
  14. Very much so but with a lot more hurdles to leap for the UIL.
  15. According to my sources at UIL, season will be pushed back 4 weeks. I would say that depending on the number of teams in a district will determine if the season will be a district game only season and if games can be played within 5 days to accommodate large districts. I expect the UIL will still keep 4 team playoff system but I also think that if season is pushed back farther, we could see a 2 team system. It's also very possible that state title games could be played in different stadiums for each classification.
  16. In my DCTF mag, he is listed in the running back list.
  17. So the city should change it's name as well because of this?
  18. Was listed in DCTF's Texas Top 300 as a runningback
  19. I agree. It's football's turn. I'm saying that knowingly that takes money out of my pocket.
  20. I agree. City is named after John Tyler. Tyler County is named after John Tyler. BTW, what did John Tyler do that was so offensive?
