Some rough stats from last night's game: (official stats will be posted later after watching film) Silsbee H-F rush 21/112 2TD 43/223 2 TD pass 7-10, 121 TD 11-25, 134 TD total 31/233 68/357 Hamshire-Fannett ran more than 2 times the offensive plays than Silsbee.

I agree but in this case I put more emphasis on the execution of the block play. Now the bounce was gratuitous but Silsbee had at least 3 other players ready to scoop and score on that play. No H-F players was anywhere near the ball.

Not so sure that kicker was going to make that 41 yarder if it wasn't blocked. Not a very good leg. I was thinking OT. Silsbee called the timeout to set up that special block play. Was executed perfectly.

West Sabine lost it's starting QB for the season a few weeks ago and a few other starters were out. WS crawling to the finish line this season.

You don't need a 7A. Just need to split 6A into divisional districts like the other classifications have been split.

If Silsbee played EC and the same things happen to EC that happened in their game with H-F (Bucs lost their starting QB with broken leg when going into score to get a 2 TD lead, then have both their running backs, Ceasar and Shelvin, cramp so bad that they didn't even play 2nd half) then no, EC does not give Silsbee all they want and come out on top. Longhorns beat a depleted EC squad. That's the real truth.

I am not much of a girls basketball fan. Never have and probably never will be. BUT, I will be attending one game in particular this season. Tuesday, Nov. 19 I will be in Sour Lake for the 3A #3 Woodville Lady Eagles vs. 4A #2 Hardin-Jefferson Lady Hawks. It's part of a double header that night with Hardin-Jefferson boys playing host to Hitchcock (still will be able to get my boys basketball fix). Keep in mind I will be passing up on attending 5A #6 PA Memorial at 6A Beaumont West Brook boys basketball game. I am just very interested in seeing two of the best girls teams our coverage area has to offer. Can't wait.

It's my understanding that Farr will not see the field the rest of the season, including playoffs.

I completely understand. I guess I am just an old school Tiger and just miss having that rivalry with Jasper that I grew up loving. (I believe most if not all those boys that the issues revolved around are no longer playing for either team)
