Point being Silsbee is very familiar with Vidor's offense. Nothing new to them. But you're right, just a scrimmage. One that Silsbee's defense did not scheme for because, well like you said, it's just a scrimmage.

My point being just how many broadcast entities are allowed permission for one game? That is my concern. I can see third party entities trying to replace radio/internet entities that have been broadcasting certain schools for years. I can definitely see a clash for press box space.

I imagine some things are held back. I watched last year's scrimmage. Neither first team scored in the two 10 minute "live" quarters. Silsbee 2nd team scored a TD and a FG, Vidor 2nd team scored a TD in the other two 10 minute quarters Vidor ran their Slot T just like I have always seen them run it.

Silsbee has scrimmaged Vidor first week the last two years. Seemed to handle them ok. They are familiar.

If only one senior contributed, then why are their only 5 offensive and 7 defensive starters returning? That's 10 starters that graduated.

MCM is the best. There is really no argument to be made.

If you look at Silsbee's scores over the last 15 years, defense has not been their forte', regardless of what offense is being run. It's not been one particular offense. IMO, Silsbee struggles against very good passing teams more than they do with running teams.

It was a very good Silsbee squad. Just not the most talented Silsbee team ever, like you stated. You also stated that BC "kept it fairly close in '15". Close is not getting 62 hung on you and losing by 20. Also, BC did not "hang 50" on Silsbee, 42 was the amount. Silsbee is 7-1 against Dubois Slot T teams. The only loss being a 1 point loss to BC in '16. Missed extra point and BC scored 2 of it's TD's via the pass, one in last minute of the game, a 43 yarder. Too much of your "opinion" is based on one game.

Scores in 2015, 16, 17, 18: 2015 - 62-42 Silsbee 2016 - 41-42 BC 2017 - 40-15 Silsbee 2018 - 48-14 Silsbee The one BC win was on a TD pass late in the game.

Most talented group? You haven't seen enough Silsbee football.

To my knowledge, Silsbee doesn't struggle against slot T teams. Where did that notion come from?

I believe Silsbee will hurt on the offensive line the most. Arline, Foster, Gilder, Hatton and don't forget the return of Malik Jones, who actually looked really good in the scrimmages before he got hurt , should take care of the skill positions on offense. Defense should be good. Just have to nail down a couple of secondary spots.

Silsbee has 6 returning starters on offense and 8 returning starters on defense.

2003 was the last time these two played for real. The last two years the scrimmages have went Silsbee's way.

They have been scrimmaging each other the last two seasons.
