I am betting Orangefield was never down by 10+ to SFA when they were stalling.

I am a staunch proponent of no shot clock. I like the fact that coaches have a vast supply of strategies (minus the one used last Friday in Lumberton) to enable his/her team the best chance to be successful. You wouldn't have that with a shot clock. I see it at the college and pro level. It's all pretty much the same. Not all teams have the personnel to "run and gun" like others have. Slow down ball does not bother me one bit. I like having the diversity.

Key part, having the lead. I never have issue with a coach that has a lead and forces the other team to play a defense that they would not have played. It's why I hope we never get a shot clock.

How do you win a game down by 10 and holding the ball in that manner?

and had one of his players not step out of bounds, get fouled, get a 5 second call and tied up during the 3-4 times they tried this stunt, it would have certainly lasted more than 3 minutes. Game was 5-2 Silsbee at that point but those turnovers resulted in a 12-2 Silsbee lead. Kind of hard to try and do it again trailing by 10. One would really look silly. Kinda like you, keyboard warrior.

I am still against having a shot clock but this is not basketball in any way shape or form. I get stalling and spreading the floor to get defenses to come out and guard or protect a lead but this is not that. Just trying to keep the game close and not lose by 30. My name is Mike Sanchez. I don't consider kids who moved to another school during their middle school years to be "transfers". Just my opinion. I really don't have too many issues with transfers except for those who transfer repeatedly (say 3 schools in a 4-5 year span) or junior/ senior transfers when it is obvious what they are transferring for (athletics). Many, many times the move is justified (jobs, relocation because of family, etc.) but some folks have an agenda. Every school has at one time or another benefited from a transfer in some sport.

I agree. There was no excuse for the late hit on the QB. I also put it equivalent to the sucker punch in LC-M basketball game. No way to justify either of those acts. The title of this thread is misleading. Jasper and Silsbee have been on each other's schedule the last two seasons.
