  1. It was stated on this site in another thread that the two players left BISD because they would not get any PT at United.
  2. Central only went to state tourney in 99. Never went back to back. You are showing your lack of local high school basketball knowledge.
  3. So they moved for athletic purposes, correct?
  4. Curious as to why parents would send their kids to BISD if they lived in Hamshire-Fannett school district to begin with?
  5. With the win tonight, Silsbee has now made the regional tournament for the 6th straight year and 12th time in the 16 years since they dropped in classification in 2005. Silsbee has made the regional final in 10 of the previous 11 regional tournament appearances, winning 5 regional titles. Only time up to this point that Silsbee did not make regional final was 2009. Here is the list of regional tournament appearances for Silsbee since 2005: 2005 Regional Final, lost to Diboll 2007 Regional Final, lost to Hardin-Jefferson 2008 Regional Final, defeated Hardin-Jefferson 2009 Regional Semifinal, lost to Jasper 2010 Regional Final, defeated Hardin-Jefferson 2012 Regional Final, lost to Waco LaVega 2015 Regional Final, lost to Houston Sterling 2016 Regional Final, defeated Navasota 2017 Regional Final, defeated Houston Yates 2018 Regional Final, defeated Houston Yates 2019 Regional Final, lost to Houston Yates 2020
  6. Bush finished with 32 but that was probably the worst game I have seen him play this season. Missed several layups, was 1 of 9 from three, had several turnovers and didn't play very well on the defensive end. With the opportunities that Washington gave Silsbee tonight, Tigers should have had another 100 point night. Washington's last lead was 7-6. Silsbee led by as much as 13. Silsbee was fortunate to win this one.
  7. I may mis-pronounce some names but not this bad.
  8. Internet service was terrible. Couldn't get my broadcast to stay connected. Silsbee was 12/26 FT and 2 of 24 three's.
  9. Not according to this site which goes by the name of SETXsports. Still have Coldspring, Diboll, Shelbyville, Tenaha and Leggett.
  10. Nederland and Silsbee
  11. Central Heights has a way of controlling tempo. Coldspring wins this one but not more than 20.
  12. A shot clock is not needed. Some of you folk need to go watch some 2A and 1A basketball.
  13. Yes and played against Brazosport. Snared 5 rebounds.
  14. I will not be surprised if Silsbee beats Connally (actually think they will) but I think Connally is more suited to "slow down" Yates.
  15. That's their style. Good guard play with some length. Yates still wins by 25+ but I bet they don't score 100. That's slowing them down.
  16. Reserves are in for Yates but still pressing.
