Many others saw them play as well. Heck, it was coaches from other schools that told me to go check out Silsbee 8th grade when Adams and McCain were there.

Adams played for Silsbee Middle school his 8th grade year. I personally watched him play. He may have played for Vincent his 7th grade year, but he played with McCain at Silsbee his 8th grade year.

Don't even have to compare middle schools. 4 of the 5 Yates transfers for this year are seniors.

Adams has been Freshman of the week 9 times this season.

So what you are saying is that because Yates losses players to other schools it is deemed necessary (and ok and expected) for Yates to seek other players from other schools. Correct?

Hmmmm..... That's kind of the opposite of the word I get from HISD admins when I visit with them at Regional tourney over the last several years. They seem quite proud of Yates and it's accomplishments. Yates is their basketball baby, a direct quote from a HISD assistant AD.

It has but it doesn't make it right.

If Yates gets middle school transfers, then so be it. I see no harm in that. Getting multiple senior transfers is what is in question.

We beat Navasota in regional final to get to state tourney. Yates was 5A in 2015 and 2016.

Silsbee did not play Yates in 2016

To clarify, Hall moved to Silsbee his junior year but remained enrolled at Kountze. It's my understanding one is allowed to do that.

How am I being a hypocrite? I have always said the UIL needs to be harsher on the transfer scene regardless of school.

Ashton Hall Young man lived across the street from my parents in Silsbee. He used to mow their yard in the summers. He never transferred to Silsbee though.

Yes he is. A shoe in for Newcomer of the conference and likely a 1st team All Conference.

In regards to Adams for Silsbee, he transferred to Silsbee in middle school. If UIL said he had to sit a year (which would have been his freshman year) then so be it. Should come with the territory.

Again, I completely understand and am good with it. My school, Silsbee, has had to have kids sit a year many times. Some stuck it out and played the following year while others left.

McCain tore his ACL in practice right before season started. He is rehabbing. If you catch any of AP's games on the tube, you will see McCain on the bench not suited up.
