I agree. The three poll system is the fairest (and probably most accurate). Combining 3 classifications is tough because of the disparity and folks are always trying to make comparisons of "who would beat who". That's not necessarily what these rankings represent. Does head to head come into play when ranking two teams? You bet it does. But the "hypothetical" win does not. You have to look at it from the perspective of how that team is doing within it's classification and it's schedule. BTW, strength of schedule is a factor in my mind. Also, we always have a faction of folks that cry about the inclusion of Houston area teams and teams way up north. But the bottom line is, those are in our coverage so therefore they can be in the rankings. As far as work load, doing two or three doesn't really matter. Still ranking 30 teams. I'll give it some more thought and will reach out to some coaches (ones who asked for it to come back) and see what they say. Again, I would appreciate anyone's thoughts on this matter and please post them here.

Paxton is trash. But the two major parties forced me to pick the lesser of two evils, similar to a modern presidential election. And Paxton is infinitely a better choice than beta boy, 6 gender socialist Talifreako. Both parties suck, but one has been hijacked by the extreme left and the moderate dems seem not to care. Their only concern is power.

I have my opinions about the coaching and Ill keep them to myself. I think that Texas City and Nederland have similar teams. Both primarily running teams. Though different styles. Both known for their front 7 on defense as their top trait. The difference is I have watched both teams play and there is a difference. Nederland is fundamentally sound and takes care of the football. I also observed somewhere that Nederlands special teams needed work. Well Texas City's special teams needs way more work. TC can and will hit you with a deep streak pass several times in the game. They are decent at it. If Nederland just get in there and plays the same game and intensity they did last week they will win the game. They are the better team. Anything can happen, but I believe Nederland will take this game. Good luck Nederland we are pulling for you.

It took Neumann 5 years to basically get his program where he wanted it. Rich has been there, what, 3 years? Don’t you think you have to give him a chance to build his system?

The biggest issue Ned has to fix is learning to play as a Team. To many individuals that play strictly for themselves and it shows. Players parents running their social media platforms like they are getting drafted by the Seattle Seahawks first round. Everyone knows the parents and grandparents that want to call all the shots for their babies and Coach Rich and some of the other coaches need to cut the cord and run the program with or without them. Coaches across the tracks definitely don’t play this nonsense. For all of us that played for Coach Neumann would also agree. For the record I feel Tx City may be a true upset for this exact reason. Just my 2 Cents and I am tired of seeing our program go to crap and losing.

3 polls probably gives the fairest representation to the 4A and 1A schools, but it's more work and it'll dilute the polls. Gonna end up with some top ten teams with losing records.

I've been looking at that. We have 38 teams in 6A, 5A, 4A and 48 teams in 3A, 2A, 1A, Private If I did three polls: 6A-5A has 25 teams 4A-3A has 35 teams 2A-Private has 26 teams If I did two polls (6A-4A, 3A-Private) then it would be a top 15 If I did three (6A-5A, 4A-3A, 2A-Private) it would be top 10. Just not too sure what the best representation would be to rank the teams. Leaning towards the two ranking system. Would definitely like some input.

I won’t knock any of the coaching because that has to be a tough job. Programs are started in middle schools and prepare the players for JV and Varsity. Neumann’s program benefitted greatly from the middle school coaches, especially coach Lynch. His teams went undefeated. Let’s give Rich’s program a chance to be taught early. To play PNG to overtime speaks volumes. Dogs by whatever it takes to win.

I tend to pull for the underdog but these guys were exceptional. Man I woulk like to see the Stros have a bullpen like that lol. They said they did it for Bob Uecker. He was good announcer. 100% Brewer. Like Loel Paz was for Stroz.

I will say I have been living on pure luck. Most of my picks or put in last minute, to last day due to my rough work schedule. A couple of weeks I had a chance to study. My standing is definitely not skill, but luck.

That's too bad, but not too uncommon from what I've heard about at least one other team in our area. Parents able to gain access to the fence behind the bench and speak with their kids, like it was little league baseball. Parents tell their kids one thing and the coach maybe says something else. But anyway, the Massey 35 - 13 guess sounds as good a guess as any.

I have been around Nederland football for a long time and I have never heard this one. Never mind it must be for them having 12 players in the damn Huddle against PNG which caused penalties.

C.E. King was added to an exclusive list with last night’s decisive win over North Shore. The Panthers joined Summer Creek as the only teams to beat the Mustangs in district play since 2017. North Shore is 61-2 in district games during that span. After going 0-10 against the Mustangs since 2016, C.E. King finally secured its first win over the defending state champions and is alone in first place in District 17-6A.
