Republican or Democrat, we can't hold the Government responsible for our own bad decisions. A person buying an 80K truck at 6% interest will pay 98K over the 84 months with a $1168 monthly note, then likely trade it in or get another truck once paid off. Ironic that this same person would probably complain about gas prices, when he could of purchased a 45K truck and put the other 45K in a savings account. Thoughts? The problem is there is nothing "wrong" with the "economy." Economic growth is rising and unemployment is falling. Prices remaining high because of PAST INFLATION isn't an "economy" thing. Home prices being high because of a shortage of affordable inventory for first or second time homebuyers isn't an "economy" thing. Buyers taking out car loans for 84 months at 15% interest rates, and being upside down in their equity for 36-48 months isn't an "economy" thing. Having a large portion of the college educated workforce emerge from academia with worthless degrees that employers place no value in for hiring purposes isn't an "economy" thing. Trump and the GOP are going to pay the price for an "economy" when the problems are not a feature of the "economy." They are a product of choices made by voters in their own lives. Gas prices have been expensive before. Interest rates have been high before. But I've never seen so many $60,000 pickup trucks and $85,000 SUVs being driven down the road ever in my life.

So you voted for the team in the same ISD that pays you. I thought you would, I had your boss on speed dial just in case you didn't. 😁

Who can figure out high school kids, or coaching. Thankfully I have zero fingerprints on this Lufkin program, they do have some issues, but in watching the game again, United played an almost perfect game. Lufkin had about 400 yards of offense, but the United passing O was almost perfect. Abseck said it was the best game they had seen Bronson play in two years of film they watched..

HS games on TL, and I'm thinking Lamar game on Saturday as well. And I'm thinking Bayou Cafe, for gumbo and hush puppies Friday evening.

Take what you got and love with it, but with Alvarez in the 2 hole a high OBP guy hitting lead off would be ideal. If the Astros had a true (traditional) lead off hitter, Pena in the 3 hole would be nice. Create many situations where Pena would see very hittable pitches.

not allowing kids to play other sports is a good way to lose a lot of your best players. At HF Coach Waggoner came in and encouraged (almost demanded) his players to play multiple sports, and it's paid off in spades.

116 K's to just 24 BB's in 447 AB's is certainly not ideal for the leadoff spot. The power and total hits are very good. OBP is .325 along with the batting average of .277. Those are quality numbers. I agree he has had a good season. I just like my leadoff guy to have more BB's and an OBP around .340 or higher. That's just me.

I Agree! Our offense isn't setup for a QB like Lane that doesn't have the speed to scramble. Collins is somewhat faster it seems but look at the last two previous QB's we had and they were extremely fast. I support the Coaches and they will figure it all out. Gestring coming back will definitely be a huge part of the running game for us as well.

I would have to totally disagree! The biggest issue we have is the Helicopter Parents and Admin! The parents are the biggest issue in most cases. They want to call the shots and complain about everything. I have heard of parents complaining about SAC Camps because their Little timmy is in another sport, not attending lifts because once again they are in a different sport. Attendance of summer workouts, SAC camps, summer lifts should earn playing time. (That is if you are good enough). There are numerous players that feel they don't need to attend and find a way to still play. Another Trivia question? How do we not have one single Team Captain on our Offense? Quite Embarrasing! Is this on the Coaches??? Maybe to an extent but I can assure you the Coaches don't have the say they use too. I have been around this program for years and one thing is certain. Newman lead his program with or without your support and I can't ever remember parents wanting to come and dictate how he should run his program. You may not have liked him but rest assure everyone respected him including our admin. Kids are just simply soft and this falls on the parents! Our program is perfect for handing out Participation trophies and it definitely shows!!!! Rant Over

For college football, I have always been a big proponent for no rankings until at least Week 4. When rankings are what puts you in the playoffs (unlike high school) then no team should have a "head start" at beginning of season. I never have issue with preseason rankings in high school because they have zero bearing on the season.

Tough decision but shouldn't you want to stick with what's been working? The past 2 games the backup has managed the game pretty well and made some good throws when needed. Making that switch could mess up chemistry that they've built!

I said this before the United Game after I saw a NC team and their schedule. They played a tough non district schedule and the teams which they loss too are Montgomery (5-0) Cy Falls (4-0) RSS (4-1) They beat United in OT after holding them to 18 points in 4 qtrs. Heading into the 4th United had only scored 3 points coming off of a bye. Im not the sharpest knife in the drawer but seems like they are for real and playing defense. I took em as well this week in the picks to win over Lufkin. Top 3 Teams in District 1:PA 2:Laporte 3:RSS vs GCM this Friday will tell us the tale 4: New Caney vs Lufkin will determine if New Caney will hold this spot

You know, you should never take moral victories as a replacement for actual results but I was impressed by Crosby for about a quarter and a half against NS last week and thoroughly impressed by Crosby’s first half performance against the #9 team in the state. Can very well be said if we don’t fumble at the 5 yardline right there before the half this is a 17-10 game. May still get blown out as most would predict but the week to week progress from Coach Williams and company is impressive.

But while we’ve hammered the for so long and focused on their nuclear, they still have the ability to damage us greatly.
