  1. 👍🏼 I did a simple Google search of how many people are killed every year by medical malpractice in the US. The answer was 250,000 to 440,000. I asked how many people every year were killed by the police and it was about 1,300. So the average person is more than 300 times more likely (30,000%) to be killed by a doctor or nurse than the police. Also note that nearly anyone can be killed by medical malpractice but the number of people who come into dangerous confrontations with the police are extremely limited. The situation is almost always initiated by a criminal suspect, not the police. So for the average citizen he/she is probably 500 times more likely a person dies at the hands of a doctor than the police (and most are justified unlike medical malpractice) yet do the medical professions get disparaged because of those statistics?

  3. Probably not fair to judge the whole ICE program by a couple of poor officer decisions. Just like cops, a couple of poor decisions doesn’t make the police bad.

  9. I'm just curious, but with somebody as high-profile as this family with it being a high-profile school such as BH, how come very few if ANY, knows any accurate information regarding this kid and where he's playing in 2026 and the details? This has been going on for MONTHS now and nothing is definitive ? How so. It's like listening to CNN and FoxNews reporting on the Peace Agreement between Iran and USA around here.

I beg to differ. I graduated from Vidor in the 90s. I was in school and played when Vidor had the pleasure of playing North Shore, WB, Central, LaPorte, the Baytown schools, etc... and we did not avoid the program. The sidelines were packed with players. We looked forward to two-a-days, we looked forward to Friday night lights. Also, had the pleasure of playing for Vidor in its first year in 4A (20-4A). Again, the sidelines were packed with players. Never mattered to us if we went 0-10 or 5-5... we packed the sidelines with players. So, to me the decline in players is due to current coaching. Players want something new. They are tired of the same old offense. They want to be able to throw and catch. They want to be excited. The late, great Dan Hooks once said... You'll know when you're done playing Vidor because they'll hit you in the mouth for 48 minutes.... That was said back in the 90s.

  15. I think we need to get back to being one of the more physical teams in the area, which has been lacking especially on the lines. People have been getting in the way more than they push people and affect plays. Once that changes, I think we'll improve quickly.

Because Vidor is always loaded with athletes. No reason why they should not be winning.
