I used to say that but apprenticeships and technical certifications or trade schools show that you can finish something. The military is the same. Do people really need English composition, humanities and intro to science classes for most jobs? I would venture to guess that in a majority of jobs, a person who has done 4 years in the military and was honorably discharged (and probably has a learned skill) should rank higher than a person who has English Lit and consumer math with a sheepskin. Looking at google out of curiosity, up to 41% of college grads are not employed in a job that deals with their degree and 52% at least initially take jobs that do not require a degree. I didn’t dig into how many eventually gained employment in jobs that actually require a degree Obviously some jobs should require a certain level of education such as medical doctors, lawyers, school teachers, certified accountants, HR people, perhaps banking, etc. Other than those, I think the need for college is way overblown.

I agree and disagree Trump just matched the democrats in their game…and they don’t like it. Actually, it shows how not smart that Trump is… he just canned Cassidy from Louisiana and endorsed Paxton in Texas… that means that he just lost two votes in the senate until the end of the year. It’s why they just went home instead of passing his budget reconciliation that would have funded the 1.776 billion dollar slush fund for his friends and the billion dollar appropriation for the ballroom. Thune had no choice but to send everybody home because he doesn’t have the votes. Same thing with the war powers act in the House. Johnson canceled it because they don’t have the votes… Trump keeps stepping on his own party because they won’t rubber-stamp everything that he comes up with, and it’s about to bite him in the butt.
