  1. I take no joy in anyone’s death, nor do I ever wish for anyone’s death. If you’re right, and a majority of people are Christians, is it any wonder church attendance is falling in this country? Jesus teaches forgiveness and compassion, two things I can’t find in one plank of the Republican platform. You think we’re not going to pay for electing a blasphemer to lead us? Read your Bible.

    Trump Effect

It doesn’t matter, we’re not voting our way out of this mess. This country is ran by lobbyists and special interest. Each politician goes to the highest bidder to stay in office that goes for Republican and Democrat. It will eventually implode at this pace from spending.

  4. I am not bothered in the least. Trump started saying stupid crap in 2016 when he announced that he was running for president. It’s been 10 years and he hasn’t stopped. So what? He is a school yard bully. He’s the guy that if you have done something good, he has done it twice and did it better than you buddy times. Do you lose sleep over that? I have absolutely despised some people politically and don’t like hearing about their deaths. As an example I did not like Supreme Court Justice RBG. When she passed away I did but cheer as some people. I would rather she resigned from the Court when she found out that she had a terminal condition and lived out her last couple of years in peace. She didn’t but I didn’t cheer her death either publicly or privately. Others did but it is no different than when Charlie Kirk was assassinated or Rush Limbaugh died. Such stupid public behavior is not limited to one side if the aisle and in my opinion it is far more prevalent from the left. Far more…. Is it presidential? Not in the least. Since when has Trump been presidential? I want the border closed. I want to have a strong military. I want the government to be aggressive deporting illegal aliens. I want the federal government to stop with trying to disarm America. I don’t want men showering with women in school or college sports. I don’t want men playing in women’s sports leagues. I want essential services from the federal government like the TSA and HLS opened up and pay those critical workers while the parties argue over non-essential issues. None of that even closely would happen had Trump lost the election. The Democrats are obsessed with Trump’s demeanor while ignoring virtually everything else. That’s why Trump won the last election. NEWSFLASH: Trump can’t run again! The left is still obsessed with his words. In 2 years and 10 months at the most, Trump is gone from politics and for better or worse, we will all move on. Ten years after he announced his bid for the presidency, the left seems stunned that Trump has made a crude statement. 🤣🤣🤣 The often calls of the Trump cult are equally hilarious. The only true cult is the other side of the aisle who hangs on a lame duck president’s latest comment which is almost certainly made to enrage them. It works!!! But again, I couldn’t care any less about Trump’s crude comment. I would never make such a statement and I don’t support it. I do care completely about the political issues that I posted and others. So keep letting Trump live rent free in your head. I am sure that new appreciated it! 😂😂😂

    The Save Act

Shows how stupid they are. Or, they are for illegal aliens being allowed to vote. Pretty sure it’s both.

  9. Just keeping this up close to the top because oral arguments are this Wednesday. Thought we could continue using this thread. I still think this is going to be one of the most fascinating oral arguments in a long time, and it will have possibly the greatest impact on America as any case in the last 100 years or more. It will be interesting to see how things fall out in questioning. I see the 3 liberal Justices just going with the status quo. I see 4 Justices going more with the originalism/textualism viewpoint. I see 2 Justices being open to the original intent of the 14th, but wanting to make sure their ruling only applies going forward, and how best to address it if they rule for original intent. The arguments for original intent are stronger than many think. Getting over the hurdle of history is still a tall task. But, this SCOTUS has shown a willingness to break with bad precedents in previous rulings. So, we'll see.

  10. Thank you for the response. I’ve always been conservative… the Republican party has just moved away from me. It’s not about fiscal conservatism anymore… it’s just tax breaks with uncontrolled spending. They no longer espouse any fiscal restraint or thoughtful reflection whatsoever. The party that jumped all over Bill Clinton for his *gasp* immorality now worships a guy who makes Clinton seem saintly. Unfortunately, the left is no better. They continue to pick the most extreme among them to hold office, and they’re completely out of touch with reality. It’s why the new reoublican cry is to end open primaries in Texas. They want to make sure that independents and moderates aren’t allowed any say in which candidates are selected to run in the general election. They only want zealots. But you’re right about Fetteman… what the Rs offer today isn’t palatable to the general pop… it’s just not as offensive as what the Dems keep offering. it’s not a coincidence that Trump best Kamala and Hillary, but couldn’t beat Biden. Biden was electable, the other two weren’t.

    Tarkington is open

Also true, wasn’t much but decline is decline. Guess that’s where the administration and community comes into play. Until that rift is fixed it will probably stay status quo.

  17. [email protected] Tom Halliburton’s Track Volume 38, Number 6 As you can see, there’s not much room to write when West Brook’s John Fowler and Memorial’s Jalexis Neal take up all of the space but these athletes earned it. That’s OK. Folks don’t read as much anymore anyway. Fowler and Neal earned photos. Each of these athletes delivered area-best times in two individual events last Friday at the C.E. King Panther Relays. A junior with the Bruins, Fowler won the 1,600 meters and took second in the 800. A sophomore with the Lady Titans, Neal won the 100 meters and took second in the 200. Two other athletes established new individual area-best numbers. Port Arthur’s Brandon Richards was third in the 100 meters in his event with a 10.84. Freshman Meribeth Owens from Beaumont’s Veritas Classical private school became the new area leader in the girls 800 meters. Big meets on the agenda are scheduled for this week. 19. No, sir… most people were appalled at what happened Charlie Kirk, and disgusted by the way that those on the left celebrated his passing. But every time someone on the left passes, decent people are also saddened, but definitely don’t celebrate anyone’s death. The problem is that the President of the United States keeps taking to social media to celebrate every time someone on the left dies… and his supporters still can’t say “that’s wrong.” They say “well, we didn’t elect him to be PC. That’s just Trump being Trump. Do you blame him after they investigated him?” It’s one thing for some liberal fruitcake college kid to celebrate like an idiot when Charlie Kirk died. It’s completely indefensible when the freaking President keeps doing it. The man who is supposed to lead the country hates half of it. Don’t believe me? Read his post from this morning. Believe him-he keeps saying it.

  20. I get it. Don't have to miss him. Not asking him to. But can also not say a single word. Pretty easy to do if you ask me. I also agree with you about all our leaders. But he is the ultimate leader so lead by example is what I say. Politics is so ugly these days. Case in point this forum. I hate that it is this way.

  22. I stand by that a POTUS should not be making these kind of comments. Should be held to a higher standard. Us every day Joes, not so much. I want my President to show a little class in these type situations. Just completely unnecessary to make those comments.
