Ref’s just called Vidor for traveling.

Yeah, they are a little different than the mid county refs you normally see 🤔

While we are talking about announcers and the officials some PN-G folks might want to have a discussion with the Cool 92.5 color guy. They have UIL rules for those guys as well.

Im at home and they threw a flag on me, it's that bad from what im listening to.

Spring Hill QB White finished 20-35, 425 yards and 6 TD's (in just 3 quarters) Because our Player of Game sponsor insists that he be a Silsbee player, our The Tree Restaurant Player of the Game is Dralyn Taylor. 11 carries, 141 yards and a TD.

He made a comment about a holding call on Vidor. Their first of the game saying let's see if they call that both ways after PNG had 4 holding calls already. Complete crap for an announcer. No class at all

Vidor is a joke. No parking. Towing tens of cars when people have nowhere to park. Announcer should be flagged. PNG was flagged at least 10 times in the first half and he wants to run his mouth. Terrible sportsmanship and it starts with the head coach.

Wow, sounds like some PNG fans are losing their cool. Kind of surprising, they used to be fairly classy. Times change.

I'm afraid it will affect both teams. Anytime you miss competing against another top notch team. You will suffer. Coach T uses these types of games to show how they are being exploited or out of position. No game tape to review this week. No teaching. No correcting. No improving.

Anyone breaking out Champagne now has never seen a PNG/Vidor game.

Not so sure that the UIL will come down on them. It depends how the two schools handle suspensions. True story, there was a basketball program who got into a big brawl with another school which the DEC ruled a double forfeit. The one school dealt out some serious suspensions, including a season long suspension of one of their better players. Seeing that, neither the DEC or the UIL levied any more sanctions (other than maybe probation to the programs). The team that levied the season long suspension on its player won the state championship that year.

What can I say, lots of opportunities but nothing capitalized on. I will say again not on the kids coaching staff good old boy system needs to go. This team used to be such a powerhouse. I still have my copy of the state game and it's hard to watch what it's become from 10-11yrs. ago. I don't expect us to go to state every year but it would be nice just to be able and compete in the district at this point anything would be an improvement of what it is now. I was told that we lost 3 players to grades, that's no excuse we lost 5 players for the entire 2008 season the year we went to state it's a coaching issue Dayton School board needs to figure it out.

One last post from me on Refs. I haven’t been to a game since my G’son played his last one two years ago. Old back isn’t in great shape. Anyway, I sit here and bounce from post to post looking at a lot of games/post. Never remember seeing so many comments about officiating as I’ve seen this year. Not even close. But here’s the deal. There’s not as many people going into officiating, and love’em or hate’em, they’re a necessary part of the game. The result of all this is naturally, a reduction in the quality of officiating. It’s a problem that will get even worse as time goes by. Frustrating, for players and fans.

I know my son was upset, they really wanted to beat PNG. He feels like it might be the last time we play them and he might be right depending on what happens next year, it could be his last chance anyways. That group of boys has came up just short so many times against the Indians but they always play them tough and they really do have a lot of respect for their program.

One last thing. It is against UIL rules for an announcer to make any disparaging or negative comments during the game

Vidor is playing great on defense. Our line can't do anything and the vidor d line quickness is eating them up

I apologize for bashing Vidor as a city. Not my intent. The announcer should be an embarrassment though

So you’re upset that the PA announcer corrected the officials mistake? He made things right and you don’t want it to be right? In this age of instant replays in almost every sport, this is a small thing, but a correct one. You may complain, but it’s still right.

Uh try damn crooked. If our announcer did that at Indian Stadium his job would be over. Oh well PNG has class., and Vidor has whatever that is called.

The way I see it, y'all owe them 50 because they knocked you out of the playoffs and you can give them the other 50 for us just because they're Silsbee. I'm not pointing fingers at who's not scheduling who. Just go do us a solid. 😁

Yeah, I was surprised. I predicted Crosby to win by 14 cause of rivalry aspect, but WOW. Agree, so much isn’t on the kids. They are falling to that self fulfilling losing mentality quicker each week. Last week against the Hill, they held close a lot longer. Adults need to do better for them. When Cal and Bill O’Brien screw the Texans the players are still millionaires, and they don’t have to walk the hallways in school getting belittled. Dr. Edward Deming, the most famous management consultant of all time said, “it’s never the fault of the worker when results are bad, always the fault of management. “ I hope the management gets it together soon. These seniors deserve quality leadership to learn lessons to carry into their life. Football and the military (if managed correctly) are the best vehicles for this.
