  2. Yes. He hit the two game winning FT's with 4 seconds left.
  3. With last night's win over Jasper, the Tigers extend their district game win streak to 53 straight, tying the all time record at Silsbee set between 2015-20. Silsbee will look to set a new record when they host a tough Bridge City team Tuesday night.
  4. Unfortunately, if you’ve watched Tarkington basketball, it isn’t. We are the tale of two teams. The best example I can give you is we’ve beaten Onalaska this year by 9 and then they beat us 30+. #21 Ellington is avg 30 pts a game this year and he’s giving you every ounce of effort he has night in and night out. Don’t get me wrong he has good days and bad days shooting like anyone else but he’s always showing up (as mentioned previously he scored 35 last night). Unfortunately the cast around him is full of kids that until this year have never started a varsity game in their life. Those kids struggle at times and when they do, they tend to fall a part mentally. So when you have that kind of volatility it quickly becomes easy to see how they can compete with pretty much anyone on a given night or absolutely fall apart and get the doors blown off by an overall mediocre team. A couple other factors included that HF shot the 3 ball better than any other night I’ve watched them play and Tarkington might have went 3-20 if that. Also, the first half was a 6 point game, the refs the second half lost their mind. They went from calling really a pretty decent game to completely one sided which doesn’t make up all the points we lost by, by no means but another factor. Then trying harder to come from behind once down 15 just forces the issue for those guys with lack of experience.
  5. Public school and common sense don't really go together anymore. Not sure they ever did. That's why we called it 'life skills', and we learned as we went. Now, it's called critical thinking. Had to rename it since it's not common. You won't hear a peep from the Hollywood crowd that jumped all over this either. The only thing I've seen is them slamming the training of the officer because he shouldn't have been recording with his cell phone. Had to flip the narrative after the last video make them look foolish again.
  6. As one of the more independent posters, the below quotes from the article ring true to me. "This isn't 2020 anymore, and a lot of Americans' eyes have opened during 2020 from the COVID shutdowns, the mandates, the censorship, the nightly riots, the election fraud, and it's just not going to work anymore," said Ries. "People can see what's really happening and decide for themselves, not just take mainstream media's word for it or mainstream media omission of facts as the truth." "The left has built their political house of cards on mass migration, immigration fraud. Now it seems welfare fraud for political kickbacks, for votes, for headcount, for the census, which determines congressional districts, which in turn determines electoral college votes for the presidency. This is all about politics and if we had valid elections and valid censuses that only counted U.S. citizens for congressional apportionment, how different would the political map look right now? That's the question." Expert predicts ‘George Floyd 2.0’ narrative around ICE shooting won’t stick | Fox News
  7. Thought it would have been closer. But I haven’t seen OF this year. Sounds like a solid win.
  8. This score margin is somewhat surprising.
  9. Only 10 days into January - Not a good start to 2026.
  10. They REALLY need to teach "common sense 101" in grade school. It is mind boggling to read on social media the bogus legal theories on why the ice agent it guilty of murder and why the protestor was just trying to peacefully leave the scene.....The sad part it is not just idiot random posters, it is State Representatives and Government officials .....

  12. Out of likes….I’m sure you remember the Beaumont gang banger who was shot and killed by police at Jack-in-the-Box on MLK a few years back. He lunged his car at the officer and he opened fire. The perp’s bullet-proof vest didn’t save him. I believe the officer who killed him was somehow related to a female officer who was hit on the Delaware overpass, while on a traffic stop, and fell to her death a few weeks earlier. The gang banger’s death was ruled justified. People know they can’t use their vehicle as a weapon, but they do it anyway. Liberal mentality clogs the mind.
  13. Not kidding. Just blatant. Awful. I’ve seen “bad calls”. But just blatant disregard. Hats off to the HJ staff and players for keeping their cool in this one.
  14. In Plumhoff v. Rickard, the Supreme Court issued a ruling on a police vehicle chase that ended up in a parking lot with the suspect vehicle stopped briefly and surrounded by police cars or officers. The driver backed up in a U-turn and took off again, almost striking officers. The vehicle was then past all officers so none were in direct danger. Officers opened fire into the back of the fleeing vehicle, killing the driver and passenger. The ruling was unanimous that the use of force was lawful. Even though no officers were in direct line of the vehicle at that time, to continue the chase would endanger the public and officers. In Graham v. Connor the police mistakenly thought that Graham might have been involved in an armed robbery. When they stopped him, he was acting irrationally and jumping around outside of the car. The officers used force on Graham and I believe broke his foot. It turns out that Graham was having a diabetic crisis and was completely innocent. So the officers mistakenly stopped the vehicle that he was riding in and then mistook his serious medical crisis as resistance. Graham sued all the way to the Supreme Court. A unanimous Supreme Court ruling said that the officers’ use the force was reasonable under the circumstances as they appeared to be to the officers actually at the scene. In their writing, the Supreme Court said that the officers had to make split second decisions and it was not something that could be decided calmly months later in a judge’s chambers. It’s not difficult. If you use force against officers or if you are told to stop and you don’t, you might be opening yourself up to having lawful force or deadly force used against you. The Supreme Court does not appear to be sympathetic to people who resist because they believe in a cause. The First Amendment guarantees the right of the people peaceably to assemble. Blocking or obstructing the police or using force against them is not a peaceable assembly. Just sayin’…..
  15. Multiple fatal car accidents, a fatal plane crash, a man struck and killed by a train, a man electrocuted, a man committing suicide in a church parking lot after a police chase, and a kidnapping/shooting all in the course of 5 days. What the hell is going on in setx?
  16. I might’ve gotten in a fist fight over that. But maybe not if I was a cop.
