Baytown Sterling @ Beaumont West Brook

Probably 2014 when they started 5-0 I believe. We beat them that year by a miracle hail mary on our Homecoming. -

That’s not the point. The point is any positive recognition for the program at all. Also, Vype has been about as accurate as DCTF as far as that goes. DCTF doesn’t have a great track record this year either.

Tepper from DCTX has C.E. King beating SC.

Yep. Aggies are hitting pretty hard on both our teams. Mama is happy.

Coach Taylor's Hornets will be a tough draw this year.. despite Region 3 being traditionally loaded. Hardin does what they do pretty well. A big, physical line and a good combination of guys in the backfield make them tough to stop. And the "keep away" strategy makes it increasingly frustrating for opponents I'm sure. Having some guys that you know can put points on the board but have to stand on the sideline and watch the clock tick away has to be humiliating for both the offense and defense. We all watched it play out against WW last year in the playoffs and it has definitely carried over into this year. Having said that.. nothing is impossible to stop. Even if Hardin is the one stopping themselves. It hasn't been seen yet but turnovers and/or penalties will ruin this offensive game plan. Especially if it's against a team they can't stop either. Which.. let's be honest. That offensive scheme isn't built for playing catch up or scoring quickly. Which is why it was so effective against OF. Keep it out of the other team's hands.. but Hardin has to score every drive. And stop the other team at least once.. preferably more than once. How far will they go? Who really knows. Strange things happen in must win situations. I'd put money they go 2 or more.. but matchups matter. And.. other schools have good coaching staffs too. It'll be interesting.

4 point game last season. HJ has improved a lot this year.

Very few out of this district make it passed the 1st round. Hardin is one stop away from losing a game in the playoffs. & to be far it applies to Orangefield also.

Hasker has gotten the attention of the Aggies already. He's #30 on their list of the 2028 Top Recruits in Texas, the 3rd cornerback on their list. Top Football Recruits in Texas - 2028 | TexAgs Apparently, they don't know he has transferred to Angleton. His dad is an Oklahoma alumnus. Sean Simon from La Porte is also on the list.

Sometimes spread teams lack the defensive fortitude to play in a 5 yard box.

That's too high IMO 🤷🏾♂️

Ok, I had my Crow (feathers and ALL). I really thought that Huffman would beat Lumberton, I WAS WRONG...there I said it, don't tell my wife! This week I have: Huffman over Vidor (BIG bounce back game for the Birds) Bridge City over HJ (Smalley has them rolling on Cow Bayou) LCM over Livingston (The Lions started well,.....slipped, ...... farted ...and fell) Lumberton over Liberty (The L-Train stays on track)

I wouldn't put much stock in their rankings lol. they have texas city #6 and santa fe #8 lol. now angleton at 2 and laporte at 4 is ok, but after that houston 5a is a joke after laporte. according to vype rankings anyway.

Not going to much of game, but I'll be in Baytown Friday night for North Shore and Goose Creek Memorial. -
Coach Taylor does a great job doing something many don't face all year. They are VERY hard to prepare for, they can control the pace of the game, They limit your possessions, and they test your physicality. Come playoff time those are some good traits to have!
