Definitely a good point, being a closed district we have to play the kids we have. That being said we weren’t devoid of talent completely. Good coaches that care and aren’t just cashing a check should know how to get the most out of the players they have. The team we had this year was undisciplined, not in football shape and that is a direct correlation to coaching no matter the talent level. Been in this area all my life, graduated from Shepherd and have seen my fair share of crappy teams and coaches. Will say the one we’ve fielded In Tarkington the past few years takes the cake.

The first two years of the present coach was playing off the residual of the previous coach. The 3rd year and this year was all on this coach. The same situation happened with the former Nederland coach.

Nederland will be hosting a scrimmage tomorrow night but I only have Silsbee's schedule of games: 4:45 Silsbee vs Orangefield (AUX gym) 5:45 Nederland vs Silsbee

No sir that isn't the case. Especially in 2013& 2018. The record overall for 2013 team is mis leading. The beginning of season had some bad losses. Toward the end of season they had collectively found themselves was clicking. I am not saying win it all clicking at least title game appearance. We lost in the 3rd round to the blue&silver in beaumont on last minute of the game td pass.

Always blaming the kids won't win you friends and influence people. Tarkington just hasn't got the right coach yet. Will they? Maybe -- maybe not.

Got a really good point guard but not much else. I think they will miss the playoffs again.

@AggiesAreWe do you have any idea how Nederland might be this season? Coach English seems to always have them competing well…

Meh, just my opinion, oline have seen better production during the year. I trust the process, of course, and I hope we come out on Nac and hit all cylinders

Buna was under the gun and used the spread option during multiple games depending on what defense they were playing against. But I am assuming you didn’t actually watch a Buna game this year.

Understood. I was taking my shot at Boyz. My last stimulus check, I bought a set of tires…..seriously. I helped stimulate the economy. I’ll spend this too.

I agree about the Defense just honestly don't have a lot of faith on that. The running game has been consistent and needs to keep them off the field. I feel like we are going to struggle with their passing game. We need our o-line to do what they have been doing all season. My biggest concern was already referenced by someone is our special teams its time for our best at all times I agree because our special teams has been scary bad at times. Hoping for a big crowd to support the boys and give them every advantage they deserve.

More often than not lol don’t get me wrong… it has it’s frustrating moments lol now too be fair… Bellville has had at least 1 D1 caliber RB in the backfield up until this year for the last 10 years so that definitely helps as well. You still gotta have the jimmys and joes to be successful regardless of the offensive playbook
