  1. Past hour
  2. You’re making my post out to be more than it is. It was just a simple eye opening stat that I posted. I am aware mostly everyone’s 401 is doing well. Over the past 50 years, $79 trillion in wealth has been redistributed from the bottom 90% to the top 1% according to that "bastion of socialism" the Rand Corporation. And a large portion of that transfer of wealth has been since Covid. There were hundreds of thousands mom and pop businesses that were put out of business because of the plandemic.
  3. Tbh I wonder why Jasper doesn’t up the pay AD/HFC and pull a bigger name coach maybe about to retire in 5-7 years seems like it could be a great place to finish out career and retire at the lake…
  4. I believe the door is shut on him ever going back to BISD… just my opinion on it.
  5. Yeah, good luck with that one, lol.
  6. What are you talking about, don’t get to do much bidding? I would consider myself upper middle class, have a 401K and company stock that has done well, regardless of what the 1% has done. The top earners drive the economy, that’s why it makes no sense to overtax them.

  8. Maybe so. I just don't recall him applying for the Beaumont jobs these last two openings. He may have applied for Nederland job.
  9. Yeah I guess you could easily say it’s not the fault of the middle class either. Just thought it was a surprising stat. The biggest transfer of wealth to the super rich was through the Covid era. The largest surge in billionaire wealth since records began. Since the start of the pandemic, the world's richest 1% increased their wealth by 21 trillion. Politicians always go to the highest bidder and unfortunately if you’re in the middle class you don’t get to do much bidding.
  10. Good summary article on the current state of personal finances. The actual numbers may surprise many. (Hint: Personal debt to income is at its lowest level since the 90’s.) [Hidden Content] Well done to those who are finally becoming more financially responsible. This is the real key to personal freedom.

  13. While we tout secure borders, here’s what we don’t see. Thoughts?
  14. Think he applied there once before. Here too and we know how they both turned out. Now that the world has seen the results of the most talked about coaching hire SETXsports history. Maybe a former coordinator of a big rival would work for Jasper. Shoemaker was a 4th place finisher in 6A but just dropped to 5Ad1 in a tough district with the College Station and Pflugerville teams. I've also seen some prospect rankings that included some of his players. Not sure if he'd be interested at this point.
  15. I have said it will be very difficult to get convictions. However, a large part of that is because of the heavily redacted documents. Why so many reductions if people aren’t being protected? Our justice department is not doing their job, simply acting as directed by Trump.
  16. When the Feds kept raising rates, and the extra money people received ran out, they had to pull back some. That helped cool inflation as well. Where’ve you been, sir? Excellent analysis. I think the higher interest rates are keeping inflation lower, the two point reduction in the fed rate that trump is demanding with add multiple points to the inflation rate, in my estimation. It’s all relevant. Two point drop in mortgages and the housing market will take off like we haven’t seen in years. Demand will far exceed supply and prices will soar, etc… he wants the lower interest rates so that our debt payments will decrease and continuing to borrow at the federal level won’t sting so badly. But it’ll be a really rough time for those of us already struggling with high prices. I’m not a tinfoil hat kind of person, but I’m starting to wonder if these poor fiscal policies aren’t merely mismanagement, but instead pushing us towards an alternative to the dollar that his family keeps pushing.
  17. Silsbee by 8. Silsbee might not be what they have been in the past, but they are still Silsbee. As long as they take care of the ball and don’t get killed on the boards they should be fine.
  18. Very interesting first round matchup. HJ has thrived in the type and style of game Wheatley is going to want to play, I think HJ’s size and coaching will be the difference. So it should be a good one! This is one of those games, that HJ’s first round matchup could potentially be a tougher game than the next few rounds.
  19. Strickland with the upset win. Overall great card. City of Houston really showed up and supported
  20. This was weeks ago. Another thread on the topic in this forum was started on February 6 and had over 100 comments by February 7. It was locked because of some comments. There is no need to open up another thread after the original was locked.
  21. The details are unproven hearsay….. someone can say something, but if there is no evidence to prove it, what good is it. ?
  22. Franklin 9 Anderson-Shiro 3 final
